Title: 1987 - C-10
Post by: danielM87 on December 05, 2004, 07:47:00 pm
When i go about purchasing suspension parts, etc. for my 87 C-10, if the company says a lift kit, for example, fits '88-'98 Chevy trucks....will the kit fit MY truck? I am curious because on a previous inquiry on this site, i was told that everything that a 1988 model had, so did an '87.

Any help is appreciated, thanks a bunch!:D

No, the 87 R/V10 was the older model that is the same as the 81-86.  In 1988, the C/K series was new bodystyle.  Nothing suspension wise will work for the pickups.  The Blazer/Burbs still were the R/V series and the part from them will work.

In brief, anything from 73-87 in pickups will work for a on a 1987 R-series (2WD) pickup.

Yes, you need 73-87 lift kits....88+ went to IFS setup with torsion bars.
