Title: Problems with tailgate

The tailgate on my 87 K-10 makes a loud clunk everytime I hit a big bump. All of the rubber bumpers are on the truck and the tailgate latches all the way. When the tailgate is closed, you can still move it up and down. Any ideas?

Sounds like the cups that it hinges on are oblonged / worn out.
