I heard good things about deep frying the birds...takes around 40mins--vs. 5 hrs conventional way.  The only draw back is all that oil.  If you don't use that too often, that's a lot of oil for cooking the bird.

Yeah, it is nice, but, of all industrialized nations, we americans work more days than any other nation---averaging only about 20 days off a year---versus 40-60 days off for other contries, so, i take advantage of it the best way i can.....by installing a freakin hot water heater!

Well we had LOT'S of FOOD !!!

I smoked 3 10lb turkeys
Mom cooked one also.
And all the fixings to go with it.

I can understand your pain SgtDel, I also did the hot water heater thing this week.

Tomorrow I'm off to the woods for 2 days Hunting and try to walk off some of todays intake.

My other half had to work, so I did too. Ceramic tile, then I swung by my mothers time share about 10 minutes from where I was working and had leftovers.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Dont forget to be thankful and enjoy the simpler but sweeter things in life...like eating left over turkey sandwiches and wrenching on our oldies but goodies. Be thankful we dont pay shop labor like some other suckers... 8)
