Figured you guy might like to see how my truck ended up after sliding off the edge of a driveway. I figured what the heck its all flat down there just finish backing over the edge and drive out. I started to back down, the front slid over the edge felt like it was going to roll so I cut he wheel up hill and put the hammer down. I mowed over the birch trees, the choke cherry tree about 6" thick, uprooted some rocks and ended up on top of a pile of cord wood, surrounded by bryer bushes! It was quite the ride, rear right duals rode right up the cherry tree until it bent over. If you look you can see the tire tracks down over the edge. steering wheel is a little out of whack and cracked one back up light. Rubber mounted tractor style. Had to get a big farm tractor to drag me off the wood and up out of where it was.
Pics are with camera phone and it was snowing so not the best.

Quite a mess. It's amazing how one little wrong turn can create so much work!
It hasn't snowed like that in Birmingham in over 10yrs. Around here they close everything on the threat of 1/2in. lol.
-
....other than that, how did the truck perform ;)
Good to see you wern't hurt!
We received 6 inches yesterday. One of the earliest snows for us.

Looks like you could have easily flipped. Good job of handling a bad situation Blazin. Did the guy charge ya for wiping out his trees? :-X

Been plowing commercially since 1990. Been plowing this driveway since 94, the winter after it was put in. The guy that built it is a simpleton. He could have come down the opposite side of the property about 100 yards shorter and about 75' less elevation onto a town road instead of onto a right of way like he did. The section i slid off of were i took the pics from is the easy part. The bottom half is allot steeper and has a turn in it. i had already made that part. he won't be charging me for any trees, because if he does I will send him a bill for truck damage. It faired very well, but he doesn't have to know that.
I have been told by a couple other plow guys that anyone that plows that driveway has rocks in their head. The last time I was stuck on it was in 99. I get $175 per storm to plow it. Another $175 if it needs sanding. So over the years it has been a very profitable driveway.

Blazen, you don't have rocks in your head - you have dollar signs in your eyes.....cha-ching. WOW 175.00!!! ;)

The experience you get from that four-wheeling fun during the warmer months comes in handy during the winter months, huh?
-
That looks umm. interesting. Glad you and the truck faired well.

Yeah I don't have to winter wheel I plow, lol!
The drive way on a heavy snow takes about 40 minutes and if snow fall is an inch an hour I have to go back to it twice for every other driveway once. Its about 400 yards long, have to keep up with it or you are screwed.
