Title: 76 chevy sport promo 9g4 stepside

recently purchased an original paint 76 chevy stepside with the factory rpo 9g4 stepside promo package....this is the truck shown in the 76 brochure and in some magazine ads....anyone have a # of how many were made ;the factory brochure lists them as available in orange,blue ,red or black ;the only ones i have seen have been orange (mine is orange...fleet/copo paint code 9v2) ...if anyone has one of these pls contact me ...it would be interesting to see if they were built in a group and at the same plant

welcome aboard!  that is one NIIIICE and rare stepside.  i don't have exact numbers but i know they are pretty rare.  please post more pics of it and some specs...

Alex, can't help you on finding info on this truck...but all I can say is that you sure know how to find the good ones!  I love these "oddball" trucks, only wish I had the time, space, and money to collect a few.  :(

Ditto on what Jeff said.  I have never been able to get numbers from GM on specific models.  But you sure did find a nice one.  It is rear, I have only seen one other one and it was on this board that member had...

nice- i once saw one for sale at the super chevy show in Indianapolis. it was identical to that one only it wasnt quite as nice.

I saw one of those at the Kroger about 4 months ago.  It was brown, but had the same stripes and needed new paint badly.  My first truck was a 77 sport my dad bought new, but the stripes were long gone by the time I got it.  But I still had the light bar at least.
