I just finish up on my new Door Panels that I got from Chris. They came out sweet. Hope you all like.
Trav
-
Those look really sharp. Did you paint or cover in material? Is that correct that they attach with velcro? How does that work out?
-
You have two bolts at the door handle and then you have dual lock that is stonger then velcro. I did use material on them. The only bad thing is that you have to pre fit them and do some cutting, but if you do that right it come out very good.
-
Where was the trimming necessary? Was this a result of using material?
-
Just cut off some parts that keeped that panel from molding to the door like it should. Most of the cutting was at the handle and at the window.
-
WOW Great Job :o I've been checking those out in the Store for a while, but in the pic they never really looked right to me.. Your pic should be added to the Store's page, to give people a better idea as to what they can achieve! 8) Now I want to get a pair when I can afford them ;D
-
NICE ! CAN THIS BE DONE TO A POWER WINDOW DOOR THE SAME WAY?
-
Yes you can us it on power windows.
Thanks,
Trav

Any ETA on Rear Panels for crewcab?
Funny you posted this over the weekend. I got the mock up set for the rears Friday evening. I plan on testing the fit out on them ASAP.
-
I want a set as soon as they are avaliable, please let me know.
thanks
-
They will be posted on the site as soon as we get them test fitted and get any problems with them ironed out. One side has issues with aligning correctly so I have to make it fit.
-
wow, that door looks great.
-
Hey TVBlazer... on the parts of your interior that you did end up having to paint, what was the paint code of the SEM brand paint that you used? I dont want to do that nasty stock "saddle" color when i paint mine. I would like something more modern like you have there.

I'm betting he used 15093 Light Buckskin

I like those panels can they be done in a maroon color?
-
You can cover them in any type and color material you like.
-
Are the rear doors available yet? I'll be looking for them in a month or so.
-
Not 100% yet. They should be when you are ready for them though.
-
Just in case you are looking for the rear updates here, the drivers side it mocked, just have to do the passenger. Look here:

Why do your panels look slightly different than TVBlazer78's on the first page? Yours don't have a armrest cup and the insert around the door handle looks different. Not the shape, but it looks like you are missing the insert. I was just curious.
-
He chose not to use the handle cups and chose to cover the lower insert. You can pretty much do anything you want with them.
-
Got'cha
-
I didn't like the look of the lower panel so I left it off, and door handle may look different because tv is using a 77-80 handle and I'm using a 81-87 door handle
-
How much longer for the Crews to be finished? I'm ready to start on the interior.
-
I am waiting to see if they will fix the gaps at the bottom of the doors. Technically I can sell them to you, but I don't like the fit on the bottom of the door.
-
Keep me informed, in about two weeks I'll be waiting on you. ;D
-
Actually I have been waiting on RodDoors for about 4 weeks when they got the info.
-
not to bring up buried topics, but are these door panels still available, if so, are you going to have them for a while. got 2 projects going and the first one im about to order them for in about a month, the 2nd one wont be til after summer.
-
Should be availible indefinitely, they are in the store (banner linked at the top of the page)
-
Wondering if these panels are available again? I hope so because they are sharp!
-
theoretically they are, I have a customer that ordered them and they weren't shipped as of last week, still waiting on the tracking number.
-
Looks SWEET!! When $$ permits I'll be getting a set, both front and back!!
-
New customers pics
