Those look really sharp. Did you paint or cover in material? Is that correct that they attach with velcro? How does that work out?

You have two bolts at the door handle and then you have dual lock that is stonger then velcro. I did use material on them. The only bad thing is that you have to pre fit them and do some cutting, but if you do that right it come out very good.

Where was the trimming necessary? Was this a result of using material?

Just cut off some parts that keeped that panel from molding to the door like it should. Most of the cutting was at the handle and at the window.

Funny you posted this over the weekend.  I got the mock up set for the rears Friday evening.  I plan on testing the fit out on them ASAP.

They will be posted on the site as soon as we get them test fitted and get any problems with them ironed out.  One side has issues with aligning correctly so I have to make it fit.

Hey TVBlazer... on the parts of your interior that you did end up having to paint, what was the paint code of the SEM brand paint that you used? I dont want to do that nasty stock "saddle" color when i paint mine. I would like something more modern like you have there.

Why do your panels look slightly different than TVBlazer78's on the first page? Yours don't have a armrest cup and the insert around the door handle looks different. Not the shape, but it looks like you are missing the insert. I was just curious.
Title: Re: Your Custom Door Panels
Post by: Captkaos on October 19, 2009, 04:14:45 pm
He chose not to use the handle cups and chose to cover the lower insert.  You can pretty much do anything you want with them.

Post by: Flamingbig10 on October 19, 2009, 10:13:45 pm
I didn't like the look of the lower panel so I left it off, and door handle may look different because tv is using a 77-80 handle and I'm using a 81-87 door handle

I am waiting to see if they will fix the gaps at the bottom of the doors.  Technically I can sell them to you, but I don't like the fit on the bottom of the door.
