I received my restoration pack yesterday...only 4 days after I called! That has got to be one of the coolest things Chevy has done for us enthusiasts in quite some time. I got the pack for my 74 and it has some of the most detailed engine specs and package/option descriptions with plenty of pictures.
-
i might call and get one for my "Chevy" ::)
i wish i could get a GMC one for all the little trim-specific tidbits (i probably already know, but it's still a chance to learn something) but i don't think there is anything out there for us GMC guys...
-
I called GM and was told the cost for the restoration pack was $50 or so dollars. Yes I live in the USA. Did you guys get yours for free?
-
They should be free. Did you call 1-800-222-1020?

I agree I emailed GMC and asked them about it but haven't heard back. Maybe everyone should hammer them with emails and maybe they'll get off their &$%!

Mine was free, but that was over three years ago...

I called the (905)440-7689 number that they supplied Vile with and the lady told me that if it is a US built model then they won't have any records prior to 1977. Pontiac was one of the only that kept records before 1977. So, a build sheet for the 74 (same year as mine) won't be happening.

I called back today and they said that it was free and would send it to me. Not sure what number I called before but thank you for the information.
