Title: Holley carb leaking

Just rebuilt the carb...All is fine...But When i shut engine off....The Part ware the secondary diaphragm rod..Connects to the secondary throttle plates is leaking...I put new gaskits in dbl checked it and it still has a steady drip...When the engine is off....

Well i took the back metering block off..Broke the new gaskit..So i have to go to Summit racing and pick a new one up ....Non stick gaskit...Right...I had to scrap it off...So anyways...Im woundring if i found the problume...I put 2 gaskits on The seconday block..And i think it was slowing the gas down...So it was building up and Leaking?

Are you saying you used a double gasket?

I did use spell check...Spell check for rednecks......lol The instructions Called for 3 gaskits to be stacked on top of eachother...Holley tech said they wear wrong and only to use one....  Red means gaskits i wasn't to use....Blue means the one and only i was supposed to use

Yeah.. double gaskets aren't entirely the best thing to do. Just use the blue one and be sure to caddy corner when tightening. Other than that, just make sure the surface is nice a clean and theres no gunk or anything that could interfere with the gasket sealing.

Other than that I don't really know what else to say, if I was there I could more than likely fix it. I'm good with Holleys.

could u tell me how i can get a better sea?l..When using those Lil white plastic strap seals...the ones that go on the rear throttle plates..I keep getting a drip

Have you checked the surfaces to make sure nothing is warped?

Yea i mean the carb is perfect...I tuned the carb..Its running top notch..But as soon as i kill the engine i get a drip.. And i took the base plate of twice and rebuilt it..I cant get it..Theres not even a scratch or nothing....I just dont no why they used lil plastic strips..I mean come on..Use a O ring..or somthing
