well it is almost time to start restoring my truck and i do not have a shop or nothing so i just don't know i have to rebuild my motor i don't have a place for that but anyway if anybody can give some advise i would appreciate it
-
Advice for what? Get a shop then. Not sure what you are looking for or what you are doing. If you want to do it, then do it. If you don't have the space, room, or right tools to do it then don't. I would rather be working in a nice warm heated garage then outside in the cold on gravel. It is all up to you.

lol restore it in the driveway on the gravel if you have too! There is no cooler truck to ever own!
-
As always i gotta agree with vile...you gotta do what u gotta do...I rebuilt my carb using my tailgate as a bench....Out there in the cold...for some odd resson my wife got mad when i brought it in and set it on top of the freezer...i thought it looked pretty...but anyways..Ever think about a "tent" for cars pretty cheap.

That's how my dad built his 454 when he was 18, built it right in my room (well it was his back in the day). He also rebuilt his tranny as well.. lets just say if you plan on putting in new carpet, go right ahead. lol

But it's right out side of my 14x14 work shop.
I assembled my engine in MY family room;

I have three extra bedrooms filled with brand new truck parts including a complete front end.
If you want to build a project there are ways of doing it, Just be creative.
Good Luck....

Your wife must me understanding...
LOL, Don't have one anymore (not for that reason)....But my live-in came after my truck and knows where she stands and where the exit signs are. ;D
-
lol nothing like kicking back with the ones you love and using your engine as a foot rest

Get a piece of plywood for underneath the truck (Or at least a tarp) when you work on it, because you'll never find nuts n bolts in the gravel, until you've given up and replaced it. Also always get about a 1.5ft square piece of thick plywood when you use jacks or jackstands, etc. Cinder blocks can break. Mainly just keep it as clean as possible. Don't do inner engine work on windy days. Then Have fun with your new project.
