Title: 86 Silverado
Post by: conman61 on January 12, 2008, 03:23:11 pm
I have an 86 Silverado with 157000 miles, 400 sb ,auto trans. It has some rust on the cab corners and the bottom of the drivers door. I Will try to post some picts.

My question is: is this worth restoring?

Of course it is! Cab corners and rockers are an easy fix and will bring your truck back to life

I've seen people restore worse...that rust is VERY common. Don't expect to make a profit from restoring these trucks, we restore/restomod them because we enjoy them.

welcome aboard man!!  that truck is indeed a worthy candidate for restoration.  it is actually a really nice truck...just redo it right, you'll thank yourself later.

what's the story on that 400?  it's definitely not stock...does it have any goodies in it?  what did it come out of?
