AC Delco, the ones that belong there.

+1 R44T is all you need

R45TSX is also a very nice plug. I run these in my 69 vette 355 in my 74.

I've always been a fan of Champion and NGK plugs myself...My old '84 my dad now has would foul champions at around 10k miles, AC delco around 4-5k miles. My uncle's experience was exactly the opposite though.
-
I prefer Accels. my dad's used them always, and so have I. I just like the way they perform. That and they burn nice and hot!

Yeah, use AC Delco plugs that are recommended for your 400.

i've tried pretty much every plug on the market over time, and the AC Delco plugs seem to run the best in these trucks...the factory knew what they were doing when they made plugs for these engines...
werewolf if your dad's 84 is fouling plugs that fast you need to help him rebuild that puppy or throw in a new motor...

You run those in your 69 Vette? It can't be the original engine then I take it?
-
no, i think he meant his '74 truck that has a 355 that started life as a 350 in a '69 Vette...that's what i gathered out of it...
-
Gotcha he must be running newer heads.... I'm drinking I can't read lol

Its gas fouling em, its a 305 w/ a Holley in the 600-700 CFM range (older carb, no model number that I can locate) that goes through accelerator pump diaphrams once a month (Couldn't find any reason for it, so I bought my '83 and didn't look at it again)..The cam crapped out more recently, he doesn't wanna rebuild it, and it'll be a year or so before I'm ready to drop my new motor in my truck so his can get my old motor with a new set of gaskets. He wont pay for the parts for a rebuild either. It may find itself being my parts truck if he can find a ready to drive 4wd fairly cheap again..the $300 '75 3/4 ton 4wd ford he bought was in a friends uninsured garage when the garage burned down..otherwise my truck would have recieved a replacement front left fender, a th350 w/ less than 10k miles, and a mound of spare parts already.

Are you sure the Ford didn't jus burn itself and take the garage with it? ;D

I dunno..if it did, it took a fully restored '59 harley and some other car with it.
