The right fender, rocker pannels, wheel housing, bench seat, tail gate, dash boards, hood, bumper!

I got a guy who want to get rid of an '86 GMC/Chevy and he has gotten all the parts he needs and was considering junking the rest! I just need to know if it would be a good buy to use the body parts.

73-80 will enterchange with no issues.  81-87 Will interchange with no issues.

If you intend on using front fenders from a 81-87 on a 76 you are going to need the radiator support, hood, inner and outer fenders, all the goodies for the wippers, wipper cowl.  Pretty much a complete front clip.  Then to make it work, you have to put a .25" wide notch 6" long in your fire wall to clear the hood hinges.  It can be done, but its not easy.

Seat, tailgate, bumper rockers no problem, dash will work but its different than 76 if you want to change the fenders you would have to change both fenders, core support, cowl, hood, and therre is proably more basically the fender itself won,t change without the rest of it.

if you can get the whole cab, that is the best way to convert the front end. You will have to put your vin tag on the new cab, but i don't see why that is any different than changing the entire cab out piece by piece. Anyone????

Short answer is No.  if you are replacing parts you need 73-80 for the exteiror (except the doors)

To put 81-87(91) parts you need everything from the fenders forward to change clips.  Plus you will have to get the wiper assembly and the hinge/spring assembly from the donor and cut mounting holes in the cab for them, and you have to trim the framehorn to mount the bumper (along with its brackets)

p.s. is it really worth all that work to do a nose swap to it?I dont think it is
