There's a ranch down the street from me that has about 10 chevy trucks sitting in a closed off lot. I tracked down the owners of the property, but I haven't talked to them yet. They live in another town and rarely visit. From what I can tell they have about 6 or more 73-87 trucks, 3 50's early 60's trucks, 3 BIG RIG chevy trucks(heavy haulers), one 60's suburban, and a few cars - one looks like an impala. I'll try to take pictures soon. I'm hoping to snag a few trucks from them if they'll sell them cheap enough.

Im in rural Alberta. I know where there are lots of trucks just sitting around different ranches. Example a 66GMC with a 327. Its also a factory dually. In really great condition. But I also know of lots of 67 to 80s just parked that would need lots of work. The trouble is people watch Barret Jackson on TV and they think everything is priceless.
Most of the trucks I know of the owners will never do nothing with. They talk about restoring them but I know they wont.

Here is my truck from junk yard - when I first got it.

Here is a 77 K20 a guy brought to me and was ready to send it to the crusher but begged me to see if I could fix it since he's had it since 79. So i told the guy I'd make it a backburner since it's one ours trucks brothers. This truck was in horrific shape and the body still is but I did this for him:
Fixed the clutch and lilnkage
Replaced the Tcase seals
welded the hole in his oil pan and replaced the rear main seal
Put my old p/s pump and hoses on it
radiator hoses
made an exhaust
fabbed a battery tray
valve cover gaskets
re-wired it correctly with fusible links
Tuned it up and changed all the fluids.
new fuel lines etc
The thing runs mint and has a solid drivetrain. Now the guy wants to replace all the tin.... here is the ugly duckling...

Looks like it has plenty of character, and just needed a little TLC! :)
Great Save, with everybodies Projects 8) They all look like they want to play in some mud though ;D

That long bed step side is awesome. I love those. I think because they are not as prevalent as all the other models.
I guess I will have to take a pic. of my little 73-87 resting place to ad to this thread!
