Title: Camaro Posi to 81 C10
Post by: 81Cheyenne on January 25, 2008, 07:31:16 am
I've found a posi rear end on Craig's List that has come out of an '89 IROC camaro.  It also has disc brakes. Can I use the internals from it to convert the 10 bolt on my 81 C10 to posi? How about the disc brake setup, will that bolt up to my rear end?

Cheyenne, The short answer is: No & No. Wrong axle group, the '89 Camaro didn't have a 8.5 10 Bolt, which is what would be in your truck if it hasn't been changed.

Boy, Something I do causes me to POST when I don't want to, Does hitting the cont. key do this? Anyway, the disc brake brackets will not bolt up,the  (4) bolt pattern at the housing flange is not the same & the wheel lug pattern is not the same on the rotor. Lorne
