Can anybody enlighten me on the mysteries of shift kits? I have a th350, with a mild built 400 sbc, K10 1975. Are there some better than others? Do they harm the transmission? I've done a post search but it was not much help on the subject. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks

Oh a (edit)* SHIFT kit? lol There are many "kits" but it depends what you want it to do before you can determine exactly what's right for you. For a TH350 I would suggest an adjustable modulator diaphragm, and a fairbanks kit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TH350-stuff-Kit-Superior-K350-WP-With-Plate_W0QQitemZ280119054845QQcmdZViewItem That ought to make you happy for the price.

Thanks Vile, are they hard to put in? and something like that going to bark at every shift?

Not hard at all but if you are clumsy be careful. You need patience and attention to detail. You'll need some snap ring pliers and some trans gel or vaseline works well. Other than that the tools are pretty basic.
