Are you talking about a TH350?  Was the NP205 behind a TH350?  If so it will work.  If it was behind a TH400 or manual, the spline count is different.

Yes.

I gentleman in my home town has a TH350 Automatic Transmission out of a 4 wheel Drive Blazer that was connected to a 203 Transfercase.

He has the transmission and the adapter component that attached the transmission to the transfercase but he no longer has the transfercase.

I picked up my 1975 Blazer yesterday and a friend drove it home for me.  It runs and drives great but I can't drive a manual shifting transmission, so until I replace the 4-speed with an automatic transmission I can't drive it.

So I'm hoping this transmission and adapter plate will bolt up to my NP205 transmission.

So yes, this is a TH350 Automatic Transmission, will it, with the adapter component/plate bolt up to my NP205 transfercase?

Thank you for your help, I'm dying to drive this truck!

Just out of curiosity, what is the NP203 transfercase?

I know the NP205 is a gear driven transfercase, is there a thread on this forum that outlines the available transfercases and their differences?

If your current Transfercase is behind a manual, then the t-case won't bolt up.  Manuals had 10 spline inputs, TH350 has 27 spline and TH400 had 32 spline..
NP203's are fulltime cases.  As in they are always in 4x4...

Just my 2 cents, but wouldn't it be easier to learn to drive a stick than go to all the work of swapping it out for an automatic?

I lost my right leg just above the knee in a Drag Boat accident and now have an artificial leg, besides that I prefer an automatic because it makes it easier to let others drive when pulling a boat or Quad trailer.

If your current Transfercase is behind a manual, then the t-case won't bolt up.

Rats...

Thanks...

Can a tranny shop install the correct spline?

Nothing like sticking your foot in your mouth, all the way up to the knee. Sorry about that!
