Title: vinyl dye
Post by: 82chevy on February 02, 2008, 06:13:47 pm
since im restoring my truck i decided to go with a black interior. its currently the maroon color. ive used the duplicolor dye to do my door panels and some trim. its actually came out excellent even on the capreted parts of my door panels. can i use this stuff on my carpet and also my seat?? would i have to worry about it wearing off on my cloths? i have a bench seat out of i think a 92 silverado. is there any good cloth seat covers to fit this?

Personally I would recover the seat. There are tons of cool seat covers you can buy.

Just Recover it! High Wear items are best left dyed to the Professionals, as most DYI Spray on Dyes will peel under heavy use conditions....   There are more Aftermarket Covers available for 88-98(Check Ebay for a bit more of a variety, at a cheaper price), than what is available for 73-87 Models, atleast from what I have found....

The exhaust is 4x2 only.
