anybody know how and what to the cable hooks to on a edelbrock carburetor

  YOU HAVE TO BUY THE ATTACHMENT EXTRA  A SMALL STUD THAT GOES IN THE BOTTOM HOLE .  ABOUT 5-8$

if it doesnt work. is there something to fix. or is it broke inside the trans?

If you have the stud from them for our trucks (GM kickdown cable adapter in Edelbrock package) and you hooked it up and it didn't function correctly, it probaby just needs to be adjusted.

its adjusted far back as goes but it still wont kick down

What transmission do you have? If you disconnect it from the carb is there spring tension on it when you pull it?

th350 and yeah it has tension. it hasnt ever been hooked up. i hooked it up the other day and it doesnt work. i didnt know if it not being used ruins it
