Title: Wiring for 77 Scottsdale 10 radio
Post by: jonenat on February 14, 2008, 05:14:17 pm
I just bought a new "Durabrand" tape deck for my 1977 Scottsdale. Anyone know the color coding for what wires are the

1:Positive
2:Ground
3:Accessory: the one that makes the radio shut off when you shut off the key?

Any help would be appreciated...

if your asking about the wires in the truck then black is ground gray is for the light in it and yellow is power for the radio

is that the same in 79? i have an old pioneer kp-500 im putting in my truck and im trying to figure out the wiring on it. i have the wiring diagram for the truck and saw that the grey goes to the fuse panel and had no idea what the yellow was for.

on the radio i have a red, black, green, and grey.
im assuming:
red = power
black = ground
green/grey = speakers?

do i just run the green to one speaker and the grey to the other, if so do i need some kind of ground too?
