Title: Fuel Selector Switch Preoblems

I have replaced the switch in the cab 4 times, and the pumps in both the saddle tanks.  Even with the new switches i cant get it to switch between the 2 tanks. I have also replaced the pumps in both tanks. I have checked the sending units and those are working fine as well. Im totally lost on this one, has anyone else had problems like this or replaced any of the eletrical that relates to the switch/pumps?  Thanks alot in advance for any help!

I think you need to replace the switch 3 more times then it will work  ;D

Ok so does the fuel gauge work properly between tanks? Which tank/fuel gauge works? What doesn't work when you flip the switch? Explain exactly what happens and which side in order for us to help you.

ya maybe a few more times and ill get lucky  ;D   The gauge on the instrumental pannel works fine when i can get the switch to change between the right and left tank.  The problems:
1.  When I press the switch it doesn't always switch between the tanks, only sometimes.
2.  When i go to start the truck the engine turns over but doesnt run.  After flicking the switch back and forth for awhile it will eventually start up.  This doesnt happen daily or everytime I drive but happens a couple times a week.  This will also happen after I have been driving the truck and I turn it off and try to start it up again.

I have the switch always set on the left tank because the right tank has idling problems and poor throttle response.  This is after I have replaced the pump in that tank as well.

I checked the wiring that the switch plugs into and its not faulty.

once in a great while my truck wont fire up. if i push the connector into the back of the selector switch more, that does it. bad connection.

Thanks for all the help and ideas on what else it could be.  Havent gotten to work on it yet because of school but ill have time in the next few days.  Thanks again!
