Title: 1980 c10 custom delux fuel gauge problem

so we were having problems switching over from lt to rt and the fuel gauge also was sometimes working and other times not....well found a blown fuse and got the switch to work and selector unit to work but now the fuel gauge goes to full and a little beyond when power is ON ...but when the key is pulled it gives a proper reading...(both tanks) .So does anyone know what is going on? Trying to help a friend
