Title: Extang Tuff Tonno
Post by: eventhorizon66 on February 19, 2008, 05:24:33 pm: Anybody have a pic of a 73-87 with an Extang Tuff Tonno installed? Looking for as low profile a soft-topper as I can get, but it must mount on the bed rails and not inside.

I'm thinking this may be the cover for my truck, my only concern is that corner where the vinyl isn't pulled down completely. Is it always like that no matter what or do you just have to pull a little more if you want it down? Also where do you have the tension rods set (upper or lower)? Thanks.

Post by: monte85 on February 20, 2008, 11:09:38 pm: actually the tension rods aren't in. like all tonno covers, when it gets cold they shrink and are hard to get on. i had the cover off yesterday and in order to get the cover on, i leave the rods out. the corners are also from it being cold and shrunk. during the winter, i leave the rods in the bottom position. i have to say it is a very well made cover.

Post by: monte85 on February 20, 2008, 11:29:17 pm: at first i wasn't sure how tough it would be(i thought it would break after about about a week), but after 3 years on the truck and repeated hooking and unhooking in bothe warm and cold weather, it seems just as secure as the day i bought it.
