Boyd can now meet up with roy and they can custom design cars together behind the golden gates and gives cars a new life that once lived here on earth. So sad to see his passing i use to love his cars and he became a jerk on the show but sometimes i am sure tv does that to ya and ya gotta follow the script.I heard he was down to earth guy and was never a person like ol man paul tetul SR.
thanks

yes its sad indeed. :'( i just wish they would have had more american hotrod on tlc. iv been waiting for another car based show to fill the spot of boyd and crew. im sure that such a iconic person as mr. boyd will surely be missed. i'v known about boyd long before his show on tlc and that just shows you the caliber of work he was known for.

I will miss that guy. He was such an inspiration to those who where restoring cars of there own. He's in a better place now though.. where gas is free and muscle cars are unlimited in supply... And no Emissions law. :P
At least we still have good ol' Shelby. Although it'll be a matter of time before he goes. :-\

I have mixed feelings about this myself, I grew up respecting him and his cars, but I found out fast what kind of a Jerk he was(Like wise with Duh-Wayne, found out back in '02, and refuse to buy anything remotely Foyd Codfish).... My Girlfriend and her Family also knew Boyd, and they used to tell me about how he was with everything..... Would have liked to have met him, and told him what I thought about him face to face!
Despite my feelings towards him, my Deepest Condolences go out to his family and friends... As Onry as him and Roy were, I thought it would've been a good 20 more years that they both would be terrorizing the Cali Rodding Scene!!! Hopefully him and Roy are Reliving their Prime, when both of them were some of the Top Respected Builders out there, and not some cranky loudmouth credit Hoggs!!! R.I.P. Boyd

Wow, thats too bad. Another one of our hero's gone........I'll miss him.
-
Yeah, Carrol Shelby is right behind him. I saw him recently on Barrett Jackson and boy, he is looking bad.
I have always been a big Mustang fan, and what he did was those Shelby Mustangs was ingenius.
I remember watching Boyd Coddington on his show, and my impressions of him was a real buthole. He probably died of a heart attack due to his prefection. But, he sure put those rods out like no one else.
-
Wow, first I heard of this. As much pressure he put himself, and his crew under I would think eventually it would take it toll on his health. Very very talented man, hot rodding will never be the same with out his input.
-
I agree he was a jerk...But when working on cars and on a deadline who isnt? not to metion his EX WIFE worked in the same building lol But all that aside he will be missed.
-
Boyd may or may not be a jerk, doesn't matter. A son is now without a father, wife without a husband, friends without one of theirs...you get the picture. Anytime someone dies it is sad for many people.
RIP Mr. Coddington

He had 5 kids and its real sad to see him go.I guess chip foose can never try n bury the hatchet with him now.If he was or wasnt a jerk he was still a powerful icon to the hot rod business and hopefully they can keep the doors open in his honor and not try n drive it into the ground.
thanks
