1987 1500 350 TBI 700R4
My truck recently began making a "ticking" noise, like when the engine is low on oil. I checked my levels and they were fine so I'm thinking it might be my oil pump? maybe timing is off?
Anyhow I can't tell my pressure because my gauge doesn't read correctly , it says at 60 when the throttle is applied and it idles at 30-40 and when its off it stays at 30. The only acception is when the truck is off and then put into acc- then it reads close to zero. Before I start to do anything I need a new oil pressure gauge but I've had one heck of a time trying to find one like mine. Antone know where I can find one besides ebay. I want the same gauge, it's the one with the numbers, not the L and H gauge. Thanks in advance
p.s. I don't have the tach gauge cluster

When I was restoring my 66 impala I found out year one offers a rebuild service for old gauges. Not sure if they rebuild the 73-87 gauges but you might check it out. Also not sure if you want to spend that much to get it fixed either.

Yeah, I did find out that year one had a rebuild service but its about $90 and I'm not sure if I want to spend that much and wait for the 3 to 4 week turnaround.
