Title: throttle body

to change motor to 350 from 305 do i have to get a new chip or anything? its throttle body. it s an 88 chevy truck

YOU SHOULD KNOT HAFT TO UNLESS IT"S BEEF UP STOCK TO STOCK YOU ARE TO BE OK. BUT I HELP MY DAD SWAP THE SAME THANG AND IT HAD A CODE PROBLEM AFTER WORDS AUTOZONE PUT A CODE FINDER ON IT SET THE CODES LIKE THE BOOK SEID TO AND IT RAN GREAT.SOME OF THE CODES WERE DIFRENT THE WHAT WAS PROGRAMED IN IT.I"VE HEARD ON SOME NEW STILE 87 AND UP EACH MOTOR NEEDS CODES RESET WHEN CHANGED.THE TWO I"VE HELP WITH NEEDED IT.THE ONE THAY RESET OR CHANGED FUEL CODE IT RAN JUST RAN LIKE shoot.MY 87 I TOOK OUT A 305,PUT SLITE BEEFED UP 350 OLD TYPE 79 ON THE NEW TBI SYSTEM EVER THANG THE SAME BUT NEW BUT LONG BLOCK AND IM DEAD ON THE BOTTOM END 2000,UP IT COME A LIVE BUT I CAN"T RUN THE OVER DRIVE I JUST LOSE ALL POWER UNLESS I"M GIVEING AT LEAST HALF PEDDEL OR MORE.GOOD LUCK

Robry, try proof reading your post and spell checking. I read it twice and still don't know what you said  :D Also turn of your caps

Mike WB yes you will need to change the prom or just get a junkyard ECM. If it runs lean you'll need to replace the injectors also/

 I was thinking of doing the same on a 93 and I talked to a pcm tuner friend about getting a new chip, bigger injectors ect... and he said that I only need a adjustable fuel pressure reg. and turn it up. From stock 305 to almost stock 350.

If they are both completely stock, 305 and 350, that will work.  You can make the stock regulator adjustable.  I did this to the TBI I rebuilt for my Suburban.  It didn't cost me a dime.  Of course adjusting it is a major pain, but all you really need is the extra long adjusting screw.  It already is adjustable, they just set it from the factory.
