Title: Vortec Heads??
Post by: 1978Bonanza on March 01, 2008, 03:02:46 pm
Ok so I have a 1978 Bonanza C-20 with a 350 4-barrell. What kind of vortec heads are there to get. I've geard people talking about them and was wondering where to get them. Are they a good upgrade to the stock heads? Sorry about being a newbie with these trucks. I am all good with old cars but not trucks.

Bonanza, There is some talk of the Vortec's a couple pages back in Engine/Drivetrain, It covers them pretty much. The basics are you need a new intake, rockers, pushrods, bolts, ect. Yes they are a good improvement, however due to the needed other parts, sometimes it's better to go with another "standard" head. Check out the other post, If you have any questions, then post again & someone will help, Lorne
