Title: bouncy suspension

I have a 77 gmc high sierra 3/4 and when i hit bumps my truck hit real stiff. and i bounce up. Do i need new shock or what?? thanx

Half the bounce is probably in your factory trampoline seat. I remember those days! lol

New shocks wouldn't be a bad idea. Depends on how old the ones on it now are. I had a 3/4 ton '79 chevy and that thing was awful with bumps even after new shocks.

I agree new shocks wouldn't hurt but you have to remember its a truck, not a Caddy. Its supposed to ride rough as a cob.

Seriously, If you have a factory bench those things are like ejector seats. Half of the bounce goes away with a better quality seat.

I'd rather sit on a milk crate and a pillow over the factory bench seat but Qualitex makes a great seat.
