What is the diffrence between the 73-80 core support and the 81-87 one ?
Reason I am asking was going to try putting a 84 hood (Cab is 84) with 76 Fenders not sure if that is possible..

Not gonna work. totally different fenders, cowl, and nose. Look at the hoods and you'll see the differences.

Doh I will make a eye appointment :) the only difference I can see is the older hood's lip comes down a inch or two more.
Thats why I ask the experts my eyes are old..
Thanks

The older hood is a sharper bend over the front, the latch is totally different too. if it would even close all the way, the older fenders will stick up past the hood on the corners. and the hood would not cover the core support completely in the middle.

The 73-80 hood goes up to the windshield covering the cowl area and the 81-97(91) hood has a seperate cowl panel. The hinges are different and they're just not interchangable.
