Title: Some wiring issues.

well i have done my cluster swap with great sucess.
but now i have 2 problems.
1 is i have to rev the truck up to 1700 rpm for the ALT to start charging.
and 2 now my choke wire is dead.
i had 4 wires left over.
1 was the water temp light other was oil light.
the other 2 were the Batt Light and showed same wire and wire color in the schematics.
what i need to know is what needs to be done with the Batt Light wires to get my alt th charge right and choke to work again.

some specifics on your truck would help.

Also what did you do? Swap idiot lights to gauges? What year cluster did you swap in?

85 custom deluxe
swapped from idout lights to gauges.
gauges were out of a 85 silverado.

Just follow the pinout on the IP cluster connector. If cavity 39 and 150 are for your volt meter just make sure the appropriate wires are in those pin locations. Compare what you originally had to what you now have and just reconfigure the pinouts. Look at the connector view. Here I blew up the with gauges no tach if that's what you have now. The image restriction here makes it hard to see but if you click the link it should work
