Post by: 75 C20 on March 18, 2008, 07:39:16 pm
How much do you guys think i should sell my 79 for?
Its a 1979 chevrolet custom deluxe 20, 2wd, sm465 tranny, 350, 120,000 mi.,14 bolt- 10.5 in rear end.  i put new front fenders, doors, cab corners, rockers, floor plans, fiberglassed the bed, back in the begining of summer. It aslo got a new coat of paint on it afterwards. it has a used/ but like new front chrome bumper on it. I put a new clutch in it last fall. early last spring i put new lower and upper ball joints, all new tie rod ends, new idler arm and new pitman arm, last week i also put new brake pads on the front. its got a sunpro II tach installed too.  its cardnial red in color.
here are the only pics i got:

i wouldn't sell it, but if you do, i feel you should charge higher than book value.

My reasoning is that it is difficult if not impossible to find a 2wd 3/4 ton, especially one in decent shape.  i've been looking (albeit casually) for one myself for probably 10-11 yrs.

The other thing is, and please don't read into this too much,  that if you sell it you might want to take the confederate flag off.  Maybe it's different in Indiana, but around here a lot of folks are real sensitive about it.

if the rest of it looks as nice as the outside, i'd say $4,000-5,000 easy...if it is just a nice paint job and a few extras i'd put it around $2,500-3,500
