Chris,
How about making a post min. in the for sale section, need to keep some of these guys from joining the board just to post for sale items, And then you never hear from them or they don't follow though.
Steve
-
Thanks Steve
Chris and I talked about that last week and are looking at some changes for the forum. We just have to find time to sit down and talk about it and get all worked out.
-
???i just posted a list of items for sale , referring about me ? . i follow this sight read many post , didn't join this site just to sale parts ,. i have a garage full of Chevy trucks i own . was raised around 'ol trucks before they came collectible ... when you could by a ol truck for 75 bucks an make a work truck back out of it . now i don't need to post a thousand technical questions on here ,but i do follow the posts on here !
-
What we are looking at is the people that show up and post in the for sale section with out including the proper information. We delete about 25-30 per week, sometimes more than that. Most of ones that are deleted are the members first post and they never return other than to post another For Sale item.
They don't respond when asked to include the proper information so we delete it.
I'm sure Chris will have more to add to this when he gets time to check in.
-
We aren't targeting you. There are several posts in the for sale section that the user has only 1 post. If you are an active member with say 100 post that is what we are considering to be able to put stuff for sale....
-
I would bump it up. Posting for sale stuff should be a privelage for active members that can be trusted, not people just looking to sell their stuff and make $. I agree there should be an active members only rule for posting in calssifieds. Not only that but you don't want a competitor trying to push their stuff on your website... at least I wouldn't.
-
Something I thought would be nice is to have the item/ user location in the title of the ad so when you are browsing the list of all things for sale you know where it's at before clicking on the actual ad. I don't know if that's possible but if you could set it up so people have to put the location to post the ad that would eliminate them not putting it in the description and keep me from getting all excited about something then finding out it's 600 miles away.
By the way, EXCELLENT forum and management!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I just set the minimum for posting in the classified section to 100. If you don't meet that criteria and you have posts there, they will be removed tomorrow. Members that has good standings will have the priviledge of their post staying if you don't meet this minimum.
PLEASE remember, you are using my media to sell YOUR parts for free and hitting the perfect captive target audience. I am not going to do it yet, but from the current influx it appears I may have to start charging for posting in that section...
-
I think u should charge....$1 a post. for Junior members $3 for Frequent Member and so on and so on :d That should rid the site of spammers
-
There are a couple of scenarios we are working on right now and that is one of them...
People with a HUGE amount of trucks wouldn't get off that free though... We are also talking about a maximum number of posts per month.
Think about it, the forum is for members and customers that buy stuff from me. If all anyone does is selling stuff, and now buying from me, I am paying for everyones ads, they are making a killing and I am getting the bad end of the deal.
-
Chris
just a suggestion but you could make it "paid Members only to post" so if a idiot like me uses the knowledge here he or she could only post in the For Sale area if they have donated XX amount of money :) of course you can make sure the true members could post there :)
-
What about the guys who post here with questions and just to look around but have been a member for the past 2 years? I bought my first burb 2 years ago and joined this site. I now own 4 trucks and have items for sale. I didn't know i was wasting my time by posting stuff up here. I have good feedback from another forum that i have been on for a few years as well. I hope you guys figure out what you are going to do. Thanks for having a great forum dedicated to these trucks and the guys who drive them.
-
I dont even see the Classifieds section anymore...do I have to have 100 posts to buy something?
-
well I understand your guys points but to be honest I like not having to pay to post wanted ads or for sale.
Now I can understand charging a lil' on for sale ads, but posting wanted ads not sure.
I don't have much at all to play with when it comes to extra cash and it's hard to find decent parts for decent prices here so I have to reach out and look and I just can't aford to pay to post and all that and it would make me turn againist it or look elsewhere that is free.
Now if I had the extra cash I'd be happy to donate to this great site.
-
Wanted to buy section was blanketed last night. We aren't going to charge to post a WTB...
Right now you have to have at least 100 posts to see the classifieds or post in the classified section. We are still working on the bugs.
If I know you from another forum, you can send me a PM and we can evaluate it from there. Our current problem is people joining just to sell parts and no read posting rules (stickied at the top) and don't come back when requested to add something. As Toolmaster stated, we delete about 20-30 posts on a given week.
We aren't charging right now, IF we do, it won't be a HUGE amount, but if you have to pay me to post, I will know your name, address, location etc. and you will be less likely to shaft a fellow member.
Right now we are requiring a minimum post count. If you have 100 posts, I have a better feeling of who you are as do other people on the forum.
We are also using this thread as feedback, so your voice does count...
-
I definately understand where you are coming from my friend.
side note I didn't think I had 100 I guess so lol.
I admit I don't post many wanted ads and have rarely only posted for sale, and never ever sold I had LOL. But I had been thinking of selling some of the stock junk I don't need, but doubt anyone would be interested.
-

I am in a similar position. I read but don't post. I guess I will have to change that...starting now with this one =)

To be honest, I feel a bit upset that I just got started on here and have been cut off. I had followed all the rules and actually had made progress and dealt with a couple of guys. The site was becoming a great resource for parts for my 86 c-10 because where I am, good parts are tough to find. But now, due to no fault of my own, I can no longer use this site as a resource. I can even see what other people have for sale, not to mention try to get rid of what I have and dont need for my trucks. To the best of my knowledge, the gentlemen I had done deals with were very pleased, I had no sort of bad feedback or anything. But if you wont even let people get started, then how are you ever gonna get new people on here, or any sort of variation. I understand that there were people getting on and not following guidelines, and I agree that they should be weeded out. But why do innocent people have to suffer? I apologize, but I dont have anything to share on the other forums so why make up 100 bogus posts, just to get let back in?
-
I am not sure how you can say you were cut off. This is a community forum for 73-87 truck owners, to share knowledge, experiences, etc. So how is it that you cannot use it as a resource? Are you are talking specifically as a resource for used parts of a place to sell parts? If we didn't have a Classifieds section, would you still join? The classified section is a fairly new forum and these problems just started up.
This is where the buy-in for selling comes from. You can buy in with as little as 10 posts if you wanted, which is our other option.
100 isn't a made up bogus post number. It is the current hierarchy tier of the forums. It is listed under your username.

With only 7 posts I am not sure how much feedback you could get or have. It sounds like you only joined to get parts and sell parts, which is whom we are targeting on the classified section. If people are only here to buy and sell to a captive audience, and not contribute/share/exchange, then what was the point of joining? To make a buck off of something I am providing for free? Keep in mind I sell parts also which pays for this site, so letting people come in here free is taking business and money away from the site.
-
As a new member with few posts (one of which was a For Sale and was deleted) I must say I AGREE WITH THE MODERATORS! I belong to a bunch of other forums on the web, and a few other them actually require you to be referred by another member (or members) to even join the forum. If this will keep the riff-raff out so that I can have piece of mind when I buy a part from soneone, then it's all good in my book. If you're that hard up to buy and sell parts, there's always e-bay, craigslist, and your local trader/swap magazines - until you can build up your post count.
Since I'm new to truck restomods, it will be a while before I reach 100 as I'm more in the learning and not advising phase, but we all have to pay our dues at some point. Some of you guys have no idea how much time and money goes into running a forum like this. If anyone thinks Chris is making a killing, think again. Web hosting and software isn't cheap. Even if the dollars are rolling in from the store, once you back out a cost for all of the time consumed and the headaches that go with it, it ends up being a full time side job. Kudos to you Chris and your team of moderators.

i have no problem with the rules as a new member here . like i mentioned before ,grew up around 'ol trucks . work on vehicles for a living . restore 'ol cars ,trucks motorcycles for fun . member of the amca ,aths , didn't get on here to sell parts ,can do that on ebay or thru the wheels of time mag. not my intentions to sound like i'm bragging but just can't grasps some of the posts on here ... to me seems like a simple answer , but guess i just need to realize some just might not know . so i don't think i'll ever reach that 100 post thing an that's fine . just because some members have a low post count doesn't mean there not paying attention , remember ...if ya pay attention ya learn something new everyday .... or so i was taught

I agree 100% , If you buy from Chris not only are you supporting the site but you are getting quality and the service (shipping) is great.
That being said I wish there was a way that Newbies (less than 100 posts) could view the classifieds in case its a part that Chris doesnt sell you would then have to PM the seller, Ie make engine parts a separate part?? Just a idea
-
the adds were the best part of this sight. I have had 50+ gm trucks (49-95) and i have alot of stuff left over from the years. I have posted some ads but lets face it there is a bunch of tire kickers out there .The shipping is a killer and they made 150million GM trucks . So most parts can be found local . :-\
-
is there a way to set it up so that you can still see the classified section just not post to it if you have less then 100 posts?
i would personally rather read ads for 73-87 trucks or parts websites then pay a fee, i don't like the K5 Colorado site because you have to pay to see the pictures and whatnot, i'm pretty cheap so i believe the internet should be free and i figure that 25 dollars for the K5 forum would be better spent on parts for the jimmy or tools for my tiny collection.
just my 2 cents.

I also am on everyday but rarely post. guess start posting more so I can look at the for sale posts.

Chris,
I can understand some of what you are saying but it would seem to me that excluding the new members would only hurt the guys and gals trying to sell used parts in the classifieds. I mean only 3% of the members list is above 100 posts so someone trying to sell a fairly common part would most likely be up the creek. Having the classifieds open for viewing by everyone would probably encourage people to come to the site and while they are here make posts and contribute, just make it so you have to have 100 posts to list a FS, WTB, WIW ad. I think this site is great, its the 2nd site I check every time I get on the net but without being able to at least window shop the classifieds I cant see myself making it to the 100 post mark anytime soon. I will of course respect whatever regulations you put in place but I sure hope something can be worked out.
Thanks
Kris M.

I can understand some of what you are saying but it would seem to me that excluding the new members would only hurt the guys and gals trying to sell used parts in the classifieds.
That was kind of the point to this. Let's put in in perspective from my point of view. I didn't start this forum so other people could join to make a profit. I started it so I could make a profit. I am selling new parts and used at times and when people come in here selling their stuff it is taking away from potential profits that I could make. Keeping in mind this forum is an extension to my company that I solely own and operate, there are no employees, it's just me.
So I own the company that has a website where 73-87 owners can get together free, exchange information, ideas projects, how-tos and help fellow owners out, free and every once in a while I sell a few parts and sometimes it is enough to pay for the server space, URL, Hosting, refunds, damages, exchanges, card processing fees, transactions etc, Not free. And everyone is complaining that I should provide a classified section so people can post their stuff free and make money off of my "customers" and I shouldn't get any benefits for all of this?
I have accounts with some major suppliers that require a minimum buy-in to keep the account, which I pay. Then I turn around and sell my customers stuff cheaper than jobber pricing that you couldn't get if you walked in and asked for it. My parts are always on sale because they aren't over priced, they are priced if you were a good friend of mine, and I make enough to make it worth while. Some stuff I don't make a dime on just to help owners out. And members come into my "store" and talk about all the great stuff they got as X competitor and don't buy anything from me. So I provide free forum, free classified and free advertising for all of my competiors and a free market for selling members stuff in my captive 73-87 audience and I get hate email, PM's, IM's and posts in return. This is in addition to the fulltime position that I work in sometimes 50hours a week, along with family time with my 1 year old.
New members are the ones we are having the problem with. They have parts they want to sell, see that I have a classified section and it is free and open to posting, they join and start putting stuff up for sale. They don't read the posting rules, 100% of their posts are in the classified section and we end up sending them warnings we get no response and then the post get deleted. THEN the whine and complain saying why were MY posts deleted. Rules are pointed out and then we get new excuses. Which is why you see the auto post warnings.
Still doesn't work because the people coming in here realize it takes more than just spamming several forums with the same ad/post, then leave and just wait for my members to email, call etc. and cash in. Once they realize we are enforcing all the rules they stop posting, don't follow up or send some lovely PM's/emails. Something I don't really care to receive or deal with since I am providing this website for free
is there a way to set it up so that you can still see the classified section just not post to it if you have less then 100 posts?
i would personally rather read ads for 73-87 trucks or parts websites then pay a fee, i don't like the K5 Colorado site because you have to pay to see the pictures and whatnot...
If everyone could see the classified section, what would that accomplish, the sellers username is there, their contact info etc, so this wouldn't prevent anyone from selling anything. If you know it is for sale, you can buy it or inquire. If you don't know someone is selling anything, you wouldn't know the difference. Keep in mind it is not buyers that the problem is with. It is the recent influx of sellers.
If we decided to charge potential buyers would be able to see the post, but posters would have to pay to post under classifieds. I don't see what the problem is since I pay to advertise on other forums. If I want to sell, I pay. If I don't, I am just a member. If someone is providing me an audience I don't mind spending a small amount to make some money. The information that is on the forum along with the pictures will always be free. It is those wanting to profit from my forum that will potentially be charged. If you don't plan to sell anything, there isn't a problem.
Our other option is to remove the Classifieds completely keep it like it was...
I believe the internet should be free
Nothing is free, especially the internet. This just isn't reality. Websites that are on the internet cost money to build, cost money to be hosted and cost money to buy/sell, the software cost money to write it and the server space cost to host it, the URL/domain cost to display it. Someone is paying for it somewhere. Getting on the internet isn't free. It cost to have a computer, it cost to have internet access.
-
If nothing is free you should charge a one time members fee .This is a good sight and the ads are the best part . I am sure there is a lot of rocket science going on but i am ok .
-
That's twice you said the classifieds are the best part of this site. That's pretty much an insult if you ask me. There are a lot of good people on here that make this a 73-87 community to appreciate our trucks and that's the best part. People coming on here not contributing anything except a crappy old steering wheel or headlight knob for sale is the best part huh? ::) I don't think so. Go use eBay or Craigslist if that's all you care about. Any intelligent person will most likely look there locally first anyway.
-
I can understand some of what you are saying but it would seem to me that excluding the new members would only hurt the guys and gals trying to sell used parts in the classifieds.
That was kind of the point to this.
Well you sell new parts mostly right, not used? Most of the folks browsing the classifieds for parts either cant really afford new or just prefer used for other reasons. I joined this site to share/collect knowledge and parts with my fellow truck enthusiasts and I honestly had no idea it was created for the reason you stated but I suppose that is rather naive of me.

ville is right ! I tought the same when i read "that" post i was like "WOW" and yes i took it as an insult to the whole 73-87 community. why? are we not on the same page here or what? do our posts bore the heck out of certain people ?
criss --- i guess we spotted another rotten apple.
-
I was gonna say the same thing....This place is a family man not a parts thrift store....
Chris see if u can get one of these made that says 73-87chevy trucks and ill stop brown nosing ;)

-
No reason to bash each other...not everyone is on here for the same reasons.
-
this only being my second post ill try not to take long. the way i see it from other sites is WTB and FOR SALE is where a lot of crap starts some one is over priced or the part is not right. most parts cost to much to ship to make it worth it anyway. i have only been here a day or 3 and just been doing a lot of reading. 100 post to see whats in the for sale wtb section well that sounds high its cool with me keeps me from reading ads for cell phones or back yard repop junk. great site going here i think ill be here for some time for sale section or not I'm here to B.S. with the trucker bunch.
P.S. you know your on a manly board when you got spell check in the message box
-
I'm no where near 100 post, so, at the rate I'm going, I'll never get to sale anything :D
Just as well probably, as I only have ole GM muscle car stuff anyways. This is my first truck and really I just use the site for the knowledge.
I certainly understand Chris's point. And, the one thing we must all understand is, this is his house, he can run it however he sees fit.
-
Hey, it is like this , if you have stuff you want to buy you go to a sight that has the stuff you are looking for , that is all i am saying . And like i said before i have had alot of trucks in the past. I have posted some ads but with very little results. And another thing , i am not always online ,i am in the garage working. I come home at lunch or in after i have been in the garage to check my email.
-
I sell new and used parts. The parts that I sell used, I honestly have sold maybe 3 things via the classifieds of the forum. If I wanted to sell something, I would put it on my Ebay account. I started the Classifieds because of a request. I didn't have a problem with someone that is active on the site posted at least weekly, because they joined to be a part of the Community that I was trying to create. Hence Parts, Restoration, Community in the banner...
The problem I have is those that joined to sell parts and not be a part of the community and all the majority of their posts are in classified sections. There have been several of those recently. jc1340 is one of those and thinks it is the best part of the site because all of his posts were in the classified section with him as the seller, except for the ones in here and one talking about swap meets. Which I am reading as a Vendor.
The forum is here to do what everyone sees going on here. Creating how-tos, sharing information, helping others out, sharing ideas. The online store was created for me to make money to pay for the forum that is "Free" to all the members and potentially make some money...
If nothing is free you should charge a one time members fee.
We are only going to charge for posting for sale items in the classifieds, and it won't be a one time fee, it will be monthly with a limited number of posts per month. Membership to the community will be free. Selling stuff in the community is what will cost.
-
I know I'm new as well, but would there be a consideration for members that donate to the site? Not recurring monthly charges for selling but a "perk" for making a donation to the site.
I have donated to help out a few sites in the past because they were worth it, much like this one. I have found a vast amount of knowledge on this site in the short time I have been a member and stumbled on a great group of people here.
I spend alot of time just reading and learning from folks that have been dealing with these trucks for a long time. Even though I have had mine for 13 years, I have only recently really taken an interest in restoring it.
I commend you for taking the time and spending the money to offer us a place to share knowledge and make new friends as well.
If this could be a perk for a new member or member with less than 100 posts, upon receiving the donation could you as the owner and administrator manually move the members post count to 100? I'm not that up to date on the structure and limitations of the bulletin boards as I used to be.
Just a thought.
-
If you donate to the site, that would definitely be considered, since you would actually be paying...
-
Do you have a set price? ;D
-
For donating? Or for the classified? No to both as of right now...
-
cris what is an average donation?
I know it depends on everyones fanancial standings, "but you know".......... ???
-
There are only about 5 people that have donated, often. I would rather not disclose the amount, but it is in the double digits on average.
BTW, the 100 posts don't matter anymore, so if you are increasing your post count, it won't do you any good. If you can currently view it, it will be disappearing shortly for a short amount of time while I get everything sorted. So PLEASE don't email/PM/IM etc complaining that you lost access...
I have currently setup a Paid Subsciption selection that is under each users profile. If you chose either of these, it will put you in the group that has access.
There is a 73-87chevytrucks.com Classified Posters which is $2 for a day to post an ad and it expires in 24 hours.
There is also a 73-87chevytrucks.com Classified Viewers which is $1 for a day to view the classifieds and it expires in 24 hours.
-
Thats a great idea.....To bad u couldn't do something that is like u can View the parts...But u would have to pay to see who posted it or something like that...But i like the pay to post part...:D
-
Good prices, you should consider a monthly deal as most parts dont sell in 24 hours lol. Glad you figured out what you wanted to do. Hopefully it will help the site in a positive way.
I'm seeing alot of new members in the introduction area. :D
-
Donation sent and you have a PM as well Chris.
Thanks
-
ok i am in for lunch today . i have an idea that may make everyone happy. leave up the wanted to buy section. if you have someting someone is looking for then you contact them.
-
Read up a couple of posts, seems the admins are working on it.
-
...... i have an idea that may make everyone happy. leave up the wanted to buy section. if you have someting someone is looking for then you contact them.
It's not a matter of what makes everyone happy :) - This is Chris's site, he owns it and can make the rules anyway he likes.
Please don't think I am trying to be a smart a&&, but you wouldn't walk into Sears, Target, Walmart and negotiate their selling practices.
Off my soap box.....
Not a bad idea though ;D
-
I have an idea that may make everyone happy. leave up the wanted to buy section. if you have someting someone is looking for then you contact them.
Wow, what a great idea, that way sellers won't have to pay to view the classifieds and you can contact them outside of the Classifieds, yeah, that's gonna happen, Nice try, but don't think so... . People selling on here WILL have to pay to post, PERIOD, and you are doing a great job of getting the rules tighter and tighter.
-
well i thought i had a good idea.....U can see the parts..but u have to pay to see who is selling them....Dont no if that could be done...But that would bring u more in the long run....thay way you dont pay the fee and find out no one has the part you want...
-
It would be a good solution... Don't know if that is a possibility at this time. I haven't found a mod to do that......yet.
I figured what was out there would be sufficient for right now. $1 to view it, $2 to post. Especially if you only after the buy and sell part of the forum. That way if you wanted to look at it once a month, its only $12 a year
Of course if you wanted to post that would be $2 per day, and all notifications are turned off so you won't know if anyone posted until you paid again....
-
Chris, just my .02, but the idea is going to prove cumbersome and unusable from the user's point of view and it will end up unused. That may be what you want, I don't know.
I spend all day dreaming up workflow scenarios and this one won't work, sure you can set the policy and procedures but I do not think anyone will use it as proposed.
I would suggest putting the burden solely on the seller, let the potential buyer browse at will and ask questions, but ability to create new topics would be the responsibility of the seller and cost $$.

Howdy all. Hey Chris how about just making the seller pay a normal fee to post a for sale item? If your selling an item for $20 than you pay a $2 (10%) fee, $200 = $20. Have them send their add to you and when you see them pay by pay pal post they're add for a pre determined length of time. That's the way the Trading Post does it around here. They lower the percentage the higher the price. That would be for parts or whole trucks. If they don't want to pay than go play somewhere else.
By the way this post I believe makes 100. I know it doesn't get me anything as far as the classifieds but I get some stripes or something for my sleeve don't I?
-
You could also add an "honor pay" system. When a seller sells a part or item they can pay a certain amount to you for allowing them to use the space.
Check out http://www.racingjunk.com/ it has a system like that as well. If they don't want to "honor" you for using your space, drop the hammer on em!....lol

OK, this is how it is going to be....
A) new users with less than 3 posts will not be able to see the Classifieds at all. The whole idea here is to get people involved in the communitey, so this won't change...
B) Post count only matters in PM counts. All non supporting members can view ALL the Classifieds, They can post REPLIES to trucks for sale, Found on Parts classifieds (EXCEPT the WTB section) and they can post in the FOUND on.
C) Site Supporters that pay $25 a YEAR (this is cheap yall) can do anything in the Classifieds, and they get 25 PM's...

I like that idea. The $25 a year sounds like a great idea! I'm glad you figured it out.
My question is this: Do we have a place like a "whats it worth" thread? If not, where would the proper place be to post?

If you think it is such a great idea, you should think twice about posting YOUR ebay and craiglist links in the found on forum (NON MEMBERS ONLY). If one more person tries that, it will be a pay to post also....
-
I understand the rules and would like to repost my items. The tabs are gone in order to do that.
-
To post in the for sale section you have to be a site supporter.
-
I read the complete Thread and agree, sorry if I was somehow abusing the site.
-
wish I had $25 to donate so I could sell some stuff, but I just put gas in my truck so maybe next month... ;D

That is a good question. I had that same situation recently.
-
What is is worth belongs in the For Sale section.

You weren't abusing the site, we just made some adjustments that effected everyone.
-
I HAVE TO PAY $25.00 JUST TO VIEW FOR SALE ADS?????
-
You must be a site supporter to buy and sell on the forum/view the classifieds.
-
I was wondering about seeing what is available. Should be real worth while for just the site supporters to just post/view/respond to them. I have had great luck on Craigslist selling my stuff.
-
What do you mean Zieg? You can see what it out there, just no one has posted anything.. Anyone can respond to post, but there has to be something there to respond to.. Only supporters cant Post new topics.
-
I can't believe it's comes to this. Paying to look at a classified. I can understand paying a fee to sell something; BUT to buy an item or view a classified? The information I get here is appreciated, it really is, BUT, this is a site for fellow enthusiasts and people like us help each other, without paying.
-
You don't have to pay to look at the classifieds, you can look at them all day long, if someone posts something for sale, you can see them, respond and purchase the item. Right now there is NOTHING for sale, so there is nothing to see..
What you can't do it post something for sale, WTB unless you subscribe.
This IS a place to help out without paying. What it is not is Craigslist or Ebay etc where you can sell your stuff (free) take up my server space and bandwith (free) and make a profit and me make nothing, all to my captive audience and NOT be a part of the "helping" out. SEVERAL people are not posting because they only were interested in selling parts, that is a vendor. If you are going to make a profit on something, I am going to get something out of it. Fortunately for all the supporting members, it is only $2.08 a month..
You can thank the people that joined to ONLY push their parts for this, who chose NOT to follow the rules, posted their stuff and waited for a response, ignored our request, emails, PM's, etc....
Keep in mind this forum (I am assuming you read NOTHING in this 5 page thread) is for selling MY stuff, so I can possibly make a dime to keep this forum up. The forum was intended for sharing information, feeback, community, projects etc, NOT for someone or some business to come in and sell parts for free.

Wow is $25 gonna break some of you? I spend that at the mini mart on lotto tickets and beer and all I get outa that is paper to wipe with and a puddle of vomit to clean up later! I dont make a whole lot of money either and have two college age kids and a bad racing habit. Your gonna get 12 months of unlimited web-site usage, for $25! That's just TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS! TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS!!!You can sell one thing and mark it up $25. Then your next one is FREEEEEEEEEE! I payed the $25 and bought the $25 site supporter package so I would have the $25 site supporter option. How much do you pay for cable tv? News flash- there's NEVER anything worth a dang on the tube, the $25 web-site is allways on!!!!!!! If you have a technical question on a repair on your truck( or car sometimes) a shop will charge you upwards of $65 AN HOUR to do it, that's $40 more than the $25 site supporter fee!!!!!! You don't even need to be a $25 site supporter to get the info but the $25 site supporter fee helps keep the web-site up and running. Bet it costs Captkaos more than $25 to maintain the website!!!!! You've probly burned up $25 in site on time crying the woe-is-me river!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
auto____ , take a chill-pill man !!!!!! :o
that previous post was just a bit hash.. thank God you still have those 25 dollars to spend . but i think you need kfoz and some other members an apology. captkaos(cris) had already explained in softer words..
you cant judge on everyone elses economic standings. some are minimum wage others might be unemployed, self-employed, disabled, or waiting on their retirement , v.a. check you just do not know!!!

Ok, a few days later I've calmed down! If anyone is offended then I appoligize to you. Sorry.
Now that being said I myself think this post has gone on long enough. So lets all stop complaining and move on.
-
Yes I think everyone has had enough time to voice their opinions on this topic. I agree with the rules and it also protects this place from being a super spammed junk yard.

Ditto!
