Title: Where does it go (temp sending unit wire)?
Post by: bake315 on March 21, 2008, 09:22:39 pm
The wire running from my temperature sending unit on my '73 C20 is in pretty rough shape and I want to replace it.  After it leaves the left side of the engine, and winds around back behind it, where does it end up?

Thanks, Dave

at your gauge or warning lamp circuit.

Dave, You can replace it from the engine over to the bulkhead plug (square plug below & left of the master cylinder) Either splice in a new section back by the firewall or better, remove the center bolt on the bulkhead plug, find the wire & carefully pick the tab holding the wire in the plastic. Replace with a new wire using the metal connector over. Lorne

Cool.  This really helps.  Thanks, Lorne!
