Title: Full Tune up
Post by: ssgoodman on March 21, 2008, 10:20:24 pm
i got alot scheduled tomorrow since i dont have to work until 8pm.  i want to buy an air compressor first then i want to do a full tune up on the jimmy.  i know what is included but anyway someone could post a full shopping list for what parts i need such as what full filter should i get, which spark plug wires should i get, what cap i should get...etc.  also is there any specific tools i would need for any part of the tune up, like do i need a special wrench for the fuel filter?

ps: i will run out of "mouthbreather" questions in a few weeks i suppose.

thanks
Sutton.

Well either you have read my post about the simpletons calling me about my rims, or I inadvertently offend you. If its the later I apologize, I don't have a problem with basic questions if someone doesn't know.
As far as part numbers go I don't have them off the top of my head. As long as you go to a good parts store they should be able to set you up with what you need in short order.

+3 to that, i read the post blazin, i thought only my brother in the army used Mouthbreather.  i want to add it to my vocabulary.  i tend to go to Advance Auto parts since they are the biggest parts store in town and close to home.  i had found a good counter man at Autozone which is right down the street from advanced and i believe is under the advance umbrella but havent seen that guy in there on the weekends.

no i live in ND.  i have had that problem before, the junkyard here wanted to sell me a 40 gallon suburban tank that he swore would fit and was the same as in the 1990 jimmy.
