Title: fixing original doors?
Post by: the_legend_1981 on March 22, 2008, 02:46:01 pm
The doors on my 78 are original...but they have the common rot and rust at the bottom inside and out. I have a set of aftermarket doors that have alot of dents, would i be able to cut the bottoms off those doors and put them on the originals? anyone ever done this and have any advice?

If you are looking for good results my suggestion is either pick up a good set of used doors or a new aftermarket set.

You're going to spend a lot of time trying to make them fit and look good IMO

If you are looking to not spend money on new doors, just fix the dented one. Your time is worth money, but it not out of pocket money. Plus you will be getting dent repair experience.
