Title: smoke rings
Post by: my1tonrat on March 24, 2008, 12:47:25 am
I have an 85 K35 with all stock true dual exhaust and for the fist time since I bought it two years ago, I have lately been noticing that it pops out smoke rings from the tailpipes.  Perfect smoke rings like someone talented can make with a cigar.  It is the coolest thing I have ever seen.  They are most noticable shortly after startup on cold days (below 0 celcius...30 or so F).  It is weird because I have changed nothing in the exhaust, but I know I would have noticed it before if it was doing it.  Has this happened to anyone else?  I wouldn't change it for the world, it looks like I have set it up custome to do this.  weird

Over the years I have had several vehicles that do this. had one truck that had turn downs under the bed instead of tail pipes. That was funny, sit there and have smoke rings floating out from under the truck!

Every big-block truck I've had would puff out a nice one. Haven't noticed this for small blocks, though.

My '78 Big 10 does it, but only with steam not smoke.  I have 350cui. in it with 107,000 miles on it.
