I am in the midst of making something for my truck and my son walks in and says what you doing
Mind you I am sitting on the floor with two cans of tuna and 4 tylenol bottles
Trying to make a gage cluster told him that he just shakes his head and leaves

I took out a factory head unit and wired up a Pioneer in my mom's car for her birthday with nothing but a knife(for cutting wire), electrical tape, and a lighter(for stripping wire).

I make tons of tools. I have more custom made wrenches than I can count. I like to save long steering parts for pry bars, chrysler inner tie rod ends are good for welding a socket in the end and making funky serpentine belt tools. You need so many different timing belt tensioner tools so I make those too. I needed an 1-7/8" super deep socket for my bike so I made one out of a 2" pipe instead of spending $120 bucks for the special socket.

Ditto on over the years having made allot of tools. Can't even remember them all. Only one that pops into my mind right off is, I wanted a bar for tightening down ratchet straps, using on breaker bar etc., and its always nice to have a 2 to 4 pound hammer on board. I took a piece of PTO shaft, cut and bashed it to fit into a 3 pound hammer head, then I filled the top and ran a bead of weld around the base.
