Title: Newb from Wisconsin
Post by: 77 step on April 01, 2008, 04:58:34 pm
Nice site, full of great info.

I am currently working on a 1977 K-10 stepside.  Frame is painted (Rustoleum hammered enamel), floors, cab corners and rockers are in.  Inside of cab is painted, and some interior is back in.  Fitting panels now, probably will need some advice.

Thank you Blazin.  I have been working on this project for about a month or two a year for the last 6 years.  About the time I get everything out and start working, it seems like I have to pack it up and do something else.  No sense in rushing into these things....

Last year I cut out most of the rust on the cab, sandblasted it, primed, painted and undercoated the underside, and primed, and painted the inside and firewall.  Hopefully this year I will get far enough to leave small projects I can work on for a day or two at a time during lawn and garden, motorcycling and boating season.

I came across the forum today while looking for panel alignment tips.  I have mostly been reading for now, no need to make everyone repeat themselves.

Thanks again for the welcome.

Hey, another Wisconsinite!

I'm quite a bit south of you in Janesville. That's gonna be a sweet truck.

Thanks!

I have been to Janesville.  How about the winter storm up north (of me too)?  Hope winter is done soon.

Yeah no kidding. I'm so sick of it. My dad plows with his Dodge and I use my truck to drive out to his commercial lots and shovel the sidewalks. I usually get up early before school so to pay me he keeps my gas tank full during the winter. But yeah, the snow is pretty much all gone down here.

Yep, we got about 2 inches last night in northern WI.  Some high winds, lightnening and thunder, house was shaking from the thunder.  Couple small tree tops down in my yard.

Sounds like more snow today yet.  >:(

Was VERY windy/rainy in La Crosse area.  Stuff blowing all over the neighborhood.  I will take it over the snow, though.  We have 99 percent of snow gone.  Piles and drifts in the shade on the north side of hills is about it.  Plow is still on atv, but I shouldn't have to use it.

Yeah it was pretty windy here too. I could barely open the door to my truck after work, and our sign blew off the side of the building at work :D
