Bigger is always better. Mine is 24x24 and I wish I had gone deeper. It is very tight pulling an engine on a shortbed and with the longbed I have to put the rear end out the door.
-
yea mine is a short bed so i would have more room but it would be a tight fit but when i get it down to the frame i would pull out the motor so i would have more room
-
Way to small. 24 wide is to narrow, and minimum deep should be 32.
That price can't include concrete, and dirt work?
-
The concrete would be almost that much in and of itself--maybe a tad less.
-
I figured in my neck of the woods it would be about $800.
-
i have a level place and i can get concrete for $200 maybe less but do you think it can be done i want to restore from the ground up i could finish the concrete myself so it would be cheaper
-
WHAT??????
$659 is all for that building???????
If so I want info because I need to build me a 22x22 or close to that size for a garage and that work prefect and fit my budget good!!!!!!!!
-
how wide is the overhead door? it may just be the pic but it looks pretty narrow. I think you're going to have a hard time doing a ground up in that small of an area. Once the truck is in there, it doesn't look like you'll have any room for tools/equipment or any storage room for big parts that you pull off the truck.
-
sorry it was $695 for this you can get them to come back and put the sides on or you can but it with the sides on it

-
yea the door does look little you can get them in different sizes but i agree on the size
-
My shop is 36x48 with 8' across the back in a kitchen, bathroom and storage room. I have two 14' wide by 16' tall doors.
-
I would build as big as you have room for and can afford. I built mine 4 years ago and the concrete (6" with fiber and 3/4" rebar at $64 per sq foot) with footing and fineshed with anchor bolts installed was just below the cost of the building.
Then add the cost of erection, 4" insulation on all walls, plumbing, electrical, 3 16'x16' doors and 3 4'x7' doors. I did the dirt work my self.
I call it my home away from home !
60'x60'x18' with 3/12 pitch roof
Why the title confused ?

nice choice I done more looking and found some a lil closer to me that offer free delivery and install, so I'm going to shoot for one of them but for curiosity could you tell me how much or link to that one? maybe pm? I want one just like that and around that same size is perfect for me, only difference would be I'd want a walk in door in back and garage door in front like yours.
-
Just a word of warning...
We have a similar building at work for storing our pallets out of the weather. It is anchor bolted to the ground and was professionally installed.... it did fine for about 2 months. Now the frame is bent and has a serious lean to it, some of these low cost places use sub par metal. The framing is super thin and bends/twists very easily, especially if you have mild wind in your area.
I'm sure if you used additional bracing would be fine, but just wanted to let you know my experience with these shops.
-
yea i know what you mean but i live in the woods so thay is not big winds
-
This kind of thing fascinates and also confuses me also, so:
How much can you realistically spend?
Do you own the land free and clear?
And if so, does your zoning permit putting that kind of building on the land?
-
Only problem with one of them in the woods is a good size tree will flatten it if it lands on it. Where as a stick built will take some of the blow without folding like a cardboard box.
-
yea there are two trees that i am going to cut down
i only can spend about $600 to $800 and i live on my grandmaws land
