Title: removing undercoating?
Post by: dumbucket1 on April 06, 2008, 02:50:50 pm
would it sound like a decent idea to use a propane torch in aiding removing the old undercoating on my 84 cab? I do have 2 fire extinguishers handy and I wont be working underneith. Jeremy

That should work. A heat gun might be a little more controlled though. If it were me I would do as much as possible without the heat.

I coated mine down with Airplane stripper..  Took a couple coats to get it all off, but it came off.  When I was done, I wished I had just left it there...
