well its about that time for me to switch over the cooling system to the bigger rad.
this v6 one isnt going to cut it down here.
heres my question.
since i dont have the factory V8 fan shroud im going with 2 electric fans.
a 14" and a 12".
heres my question.
what would be better, in Front as pushers or in the engine bay as Pullers?
im using the 14" under a thermostat and the 12" as a AUX under a switch.
motor already has a 160 t-stat in it.

Pullers are always better.

Puller definatly! That way the air allways goes thru the rad. fins first as apposed to being blocked or deflected by the fans body before it goes thru the rad.

Agreed pullers, personally, I like to use factory parts (Camaro,FWD Impala's,Caddy's & others) all have nice 2 fan-in shroud set-ups. These were designed to work everyday for many years. Go to a salvage yard & look for the biggest one you can fit on your core, take the wiring & the relays (you will need to "simplify" the harness some). Some have two speed motors, so be sure your hooked up correctly. Make some brackets to hold the corners & your set. I feel this is a better way than spending money on a pair of fans & cobbling them on. Lorne

If you are going to use 2 fans, have one a slow speed fan for better circulation and the second fan controlled by a high speed relay and thermostatic switch.

thanks for the reply guys.
i was planning on doing the low speed high speed deal.
was thinkin the 12 for low or all time and the 14 on the thermostat.

Cool! Literally.
