How many of you use their truck as an everyday vehicle??
-
I do
-
My dad got me my truck for Christmas and I drive it pretty much everyday. I'm going to buy some headers and maybe some other mods in Jefferson at the swap meet in a couple weeks and then I'm goin for duals. I still use it to drive to work and stuff though. I love it to death!

I typically do, but am in the stage of a transplant. Gas prices don't matter if you stay out of it and nothing beats driving something you know you can fix in under an hour with simple hand tools. I keep a couple of screw drivers and a double open-ended 9/16 and 1/2 wrench in the glove box, spare belts under the seat, and a couple of spares in the bed. A Chevy never dies, it just might need a rebuild.

mine is my anytime of the year transportation. winter when i retire the monte carlo and summer when i need to do house work.

everyday for me

I drive either my 1991 R3500 Crew or my 1987 R10 everyday. The R10 is my main means of transportation.
-
I drive my 84 blazer to work everyday. before I took it out of storage I drove the 76 silverado to work everyday.
-
Thats bad I just realized mine hasn't been driven since Nov, 12th my sons b-day he wanted me to take him to school in it guess I better get it out and play around some.
-
What is sad I I have hand one torn apart for 8 years and 2 other trucks got ahead of it....
-
Mine don't get driven but about once every 3 weeks. I usually only clock around 1500 miles a year give or take. It hurts to put gas in it when you have a company car with free gas.
-
i drive my 79 everyday. gas is bad but its only money that you cant take with you :D
-
I drive my 76 everyday no matter what the weather, just like the postal service ::)
-
I drive my 74 maybe 400 miles a year if lucky... Always had either a blazer or pick up as a dd but for the last few years my dd is Jeep Grand Cherokee..
-
I drive my 77 everyday and putting gas in hurts alot. I want a new truck as more or a toy because there is not much i can do to my truck to make it desert ready.
-
Mine is mainly a weekend-use truck. I have a long commute to work, so I use my Nissan rice-rocket for that. I drive my truck every weekend (around town, parts hunting, Home Depot runs, hauling trips to the dump). And taking the dog for a drive, of course! :)

I used to drive my baby sparingly. But on that fateful day, it came to a halt. used to share wife's 2006 Focus with her when I didn't take my (always thirsty) baby out for a run around the block to keep her battery charged. Sure gonna miss her, May she be resurrected to a new home. 1978 C10 Big10 100% rust free and totally stock Light blue/white.

BigTen, every time I see a post by you on here, your story pops into my head. I would never be able to hadle letting my truck go like you did. I hope everything's going alright for you.

Right on! Same here!
For me I just pop in 5 bucks of gas when the meter gets a tad below full. She's never seen half/empty once I've started driving her. And yes mines a dd. But I don't drive alot since I'm in a small town/island. Most places I can just walk to. But I still drive my truck around town.. Mainly for showing off. ;D
-
I drive mine daily to school and work, and on road trips too. I just drove it around 2000 miles on a road trip 3 weeks ago.
