Well i thought i write this in regards to finding our great deals on and off the internet.So far on the internet i found a pair of stepside fenders for 112.50 w/ shipping was just about 175.00, found recently a 87 stepside tailgate for 100.00(includes shipping).A pair of 73-80 rust free fenders for 150.00 (included shipping).Door panels for 40.00 from ziptar.Found from a co-worker a 1968 chevy 396 shortblock and a 72 402 bare 2 bolt main block for 400.00.I could go on and on but lets hear how many others found their great deals and steals....

My coolest finds have been a NOS (new in the box) 73-74 Chevrolet grill for $65, two factory sets of pickup truck bucket seats/brackets/tabs/consoles for $200 each set, and factory door speakers/grills/hardware for $30.  I also found a cherry 73-78 hood (taken off when the truck was 30 days old and set in storage for 25 years) for $65, and a perfect 81-87 dashpad for $10.  Most of this stuff was off Ebay, the rest has been from message boards like this or backroad (non picked over) junkyards.

i bought my 88 k5 blazer on Ebay for $200.granted it was just about stripped. but the body is solid.it is a former military truck,check it out here.www.cardomain.com/ride/2313703 i have also found some awesome deals at the local salvage yards(is it a bad thing when they know you by name??):rollin   as well as swap meets ,just scored a mint tailgate for the blazer only $150 complete with glass.

How about a 1991 3/4 ton 4x4 5.7L  GMC Suburban from Arizona for $3,500?  Yeah, it took $400 for a plane ticket and about $500 for gas to get her to Va, but it is soooooo worth it.  Power windows/doors, conversion buckets and paint job, 3rd row seat.  The only time i put oil in it is during oil changes.   All thanks to good ole ebay.  I saw it, knew there was no rust due to the desert, and gave the person an offer half-way thinking he wouldn't accept it.  Well, he ended the auction at my offer and I was west bound.

Found a rust free, never mounted GM 1973-1980 Passenger side fender, still in factory sealer/primer.  The kid gave it to me and I even told him what iit was and how valuable it was.  He had beaten his front clip on his with an 8 pound sledge because he was drunk.  Working on trying to rescue that truck from him.

I was going to autozone in my brother-in-law's 1973 4x4 pickup that had horrible rust, when some guy noticed us sitting in it outside the store about to leave. (I had just bought some stuff for my 80) and he asked if either of us was interested in a 1978 2 wheel drive scottsdale, he didn't want to mess with. He thought there was something wrong with the motor, but he told me it was a granny 4 speed, and he had a clear title with good body panels.. I could come look at it, and he'd let it go for 200$. Well I went to look at it the same day of course. Apparently someone did something to the manifold on the 250, and he didn't feel like bothering with it. Everything was in the cab to put the motor back together, and the engine only had 71,000 original miles. Probably 10 minutes after getting to his house and looking it over I payed him for it and hauled it away the next day title in hand.

The body panels are excellent, some very MINOR problems with the passenger side bed. The cab corners, rockers, floorpans etc (all the typical rust spots were in great shape). Everything seems original down to hubcaps, and AM/FM radio.

After I got everything put back together, the rear main seal blew out.. I guess because it sit in his yard for about 8 years, and wasn't started or anything. I replaced that, and a lower ball-joint on the driver side. I got it state inspected and now that's my daily driver for school since the 80 4x4 is sitting.

I guess I was at the parts store at the right time, and i'm usually there a few times a week :lol

Good deals are getting scarse around here w/ the car crusher paying sooooo good, but I did come across one I think , a 73 4dr c-20w/ cab ,rolling chassis& title,new rockers all power wiring , working hydroboost brakes, solid floorboards,rear sway-bar , air cab, perfect framew/ paint,14-bolt w/ 4.10 w/ detroit locker &twin tanks , for 175.00,I thought it was a good deal , so I bought it , cost 25.00 to go get so ,grand total 200.00 I have all good sheet metal to put on just need to decide what motor , plus were body dropping , thats all for this deal roll low.. drag hard

Got another one.  Definately not a 73-87 truck, but will probably end up being mine anyway.  

1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS.
sitting in a field about 30 minutes from my house.  The engine and trans are gone, no rot, only light surface rust.  Needs paint and interior.  The guy wants it gone.

Asking price: $100.00.

Could not believe it, but it was true and if he has the title, I will find a place to put it.

Just scored another great deal on ebay.I just won a clean rust free 73-80 GM hood for 20.00 thats right $20.00  total w/ shipping will be 140.00 so this is another thing to add to the steal of a deal on the internet...:D

Family members are usually the best when getting the beater. My uncle bought my truck brand new and got pass to my grandfather and then after he died 5 years later I talked my uncle into giving it to me but he wouldnt let me have his 79 cj jeep. My brothers truck was bought for $600 and its a 83 gmc shortbed that was all original loaded with a 305 and automatic. Which it had very little rust just alittle body work. Then my dads friend is a manager of a wrecking yard near where I live so I either get things for free or if its worth something I get it cheap.
