"Gimme Three Steps" towards that Swamp,Swamp, Swamp, "Swamp Music".
When someone says, "What's Your Name?" " say I am "Free Bird" from "Sweet Home Alabama"
"That Smell" of "Double Trouble" is in the air.

I'd love to see Bocephus....Hank jr is Awesome!!!  When I am in the partying mood and drinking a few in the back yard, I turn up my 1,000 watt amp on the sub and let Bocephus sing loud!

I like all classic rock. Aerosmith, Skynyrd, 38 Special, three of my favorites, Tom Petty,  Boston, Eagles, ACDC, Marshall Tucker, Allman brothers, all of the oldies. Plus I like allot of 80s rock too. Def Lepard, Cinderella, Pioson, and country from about the late 80s on up. Some select classic country too.

I saw Skynyrd at River Bend in Cincinnatti back in the early 90s. My brother and I went and had tickets in about the 20th row. A friend of his and 5 of his relatives bought front row tickets, they brought two of them back to us and when L.S. took the stage everybody stood up and we snuck down to the front row and spent the whole time down there! It was set up with folding chairs so with everbody up and dancing all the seats got moved around and they couldn't tell who's seat was who's. It was AWESOME!! I've seen em about 4 more times at different places.

I've seen ZZ Top about 10 times, they flat out ROCK. Esp. for 60yr old or so dudes!

LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL!

Are you sure you're not from down South?  That Southern Rock is great.

You and I have similar tastes...how about Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Kansas,Stevie Ray Vaughan, BTO, Steve Miller Band, Tom Petty?

I'll throw in Pink Floyd...I saw them so many times when I was in college near D.C.  The RFK stadium concert was the best.

I loved listening to Twisted Sister and Motley Crue whenI was in High School....still pull them out every so often.

Been listening to a lot of Train, CCR (not credence, but cross canadian ragweed), Big and Rich,  Montgomery Gentry and Brooks and Dunn lately.

I like Floyd but have to be in the mood for it. Bad Co. Zepplin are awsome,  Steve Miller I think I wore a few of his tapes out back in the day. Allan Parsons, Van Halen, Kansas, Asia, BTO, Cars. Didn't listen to him allot but always liked Stevie Ray. The Crue is cool. Guns & Roses, Scopions, ZZ Top, Doobie Brothers, Quit Roit, Journey, Chicago, Air Supply. Fleetwood Mac, Greta White, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner.
Oak Ridge Boys, Alabama, Tim McGraw, Chris Ledoux, Brooks & Dunn, Garth Brooks, Reba.
Just to name a few that I like.

You guys are talking my music now, southern rock and classic country.

The new "pop" stuff stinks.  However, the new country is similar to the older Southern Rock when looking at groups like Brooks/Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, Big and Rich, and some Chesney.

I am a true ParrottHead, been to Jimmy Buffett concerts about 15 times.

Any Willie Nelson fans here? I love that guy.

I don't mind buffet but I wouldn't pay to see him. Willie is cool but I don't have any of his music in my library.

Come to think of it I haven't seen that Skynyard album with the flames on it for a long time I have to look for it, Street survivors.

I was in grade school when the crash happened. It is a great show. has been every time I have seen them.
Missed last year. Year before Frampton opened for them, he is awesome. Year before that 38 Special opened. Year before that it was Marshal Tucker, & Mountian opening.

The concert with sabath was the james Gang, (I never seen Foghat) That concert was alittle fuzzy, I do remember that when sabath started to play Ironman and Ozzy sang I-Am I-r-o-n-m-a-n my buddy puked all over the guy in front of him, almost a big fight.

How about John Denver? He is one of my all time favorites, I love his music, so full of truth, just plain old wholesome songs. A truly talented man and we lost him way to early. I have had his music in my collection since I was about 9 or 10 years old.
Another I have always liked is the Carpenters.

Sweet..I'm an Eclectic..I don't care for country, southern rock is fine, i loathe most punk and pop, I listen to some rap, metal, a fair bit of rap-metal (read: Disturbed, Godsmack, etc), some german power metal (Rammstein, Brainstorm, etc), some Aussie industrial (Angelspit), SOME alternative rock somtimes referred to as punk, (and some of the songs I hate because it sounds too punk-ish), i.e. Avenged Sevenfold..up until the past two years or so, i was strictly a classic rock buff..I would listen to occasional rap, but not often..

Glad the concert turned out well, Skynyrd is one of the few bands I would pay money to see live..Skynyrd, Z.Z. Top, and Disturbed...

OK, well dude, let me edumacate you...
we have ZZ Top (blues, southern rockabilly/honkytonk)

then we have Skynrd (best of southern rock, I don't believe anyone will argue that)
This is all what I like to call "living" music!  You know, lettin your hair down, drinkin a bit and howlin at the moon type music!

I mean really... you hear either "la grange", "cheap sunglasses" or "gimme three steps" and you feel it in your bones!  Goes well with the loud throaty exhaust of a big ole' chevy truck.  Well, I said my piece.
