I've run across a few places selling take-off humvee tires *cheap*, they're reportedly noisy as heck on pavement but they're 37" and/or 38" and the price is pretty good ;D

around here you can get 38"( 325/85/16) or 35" ex-military tires, There Michelin's but they are *very heavy*

stay away from the humvee tires. the 36" variety goodyears wear out quick although they are decent off road. the 37" radial goodyears are alright on the road but not great off road in my opinion.

this site has a pretty decent selection imo.
