Title: swb conversion

I've got a 68 chevy 1/2 ton lwb I want to change to a swb. Anyone have experience doing this? My buddy is a journeyman welder whom I'll trust with all the structural alterations, I just dont know the details.:rolleyes I'm sure this has been dicussed a few times I just cant find the information.

A friend on mine did this exact operation to his 68 long bed. I just found a short bed frame when I did mine.8)

 It's really not a bad project,I've done 5 to date,once you get the bed off,it's an easy afternoon deal..

I did one complete in a day,drove it in as a LWB,drove it out late afternoon as a SWB..
