Title: How to adjust back part of hood...
Post by: 5004man on April 20, 2008, 09:11:57 pm
Im having a brain fart on how to adjust the hood on my truck (85 chevy). What I need to do is lower the back part of the hood by the cowl, and I cant find the bolts that will allow me to lower the hinge. If someone can describe to me where they are I would appriciate it.

You can't lower the hinge.
You need to adjust the hood down on the hinges. Lossen the hinge bolts one side at a time. just barley loosen the front one, more on the back one. Then drop the hood down a little bit on the hinge. Then check it. Re adjust as needed.
