New to the forum as well as new to owning a C10 platform truck. But I have alot of plans for it now that I have one. Been into the auto customizations world for quite a spell and now I have a new project.
Here you go.....more to come

-
looks like you got a solid truck to start with. what plans do you have for it?
-
I like those little mirrors. Did they come like that or did you add them? All the ones I've seen in my town have had the big donkey mirrors(including mine).
-
those are factory mirrors...they were the "sport" mirrors back then i believe...
-
love the paint
nice truck
-
Yes those are the og mirrors....heard them called "sport mirrors"
Thanks for the looks and as far as plans............ maybe a 2/4 drop, billet grill, chrome headlight bezels, flowmaster exhaust (completed), and Im still in the air about the paint scheme maybe just repaint it back RED....What do you guys think???? ???
-
sounds good, i'd invest in some wheels as well if you are going to drop it.
-
Oh yes, I already have the wheels w/ tires in my garage right now....
here's a teaser...
-
good call on the wheels. i couldn't see, are those 265/35/22 tires? get them on and post pics!!!!
-
Yep.....265s
But Im not going to put them on til it gets painted and the interior completed
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
What do you guys think about blacking out the grille and headlight bezels?????
Im going to paint the truck to match my '06 Charger, which is Dodge's Bright Silver, and I was thinking that the blacked out front may look real smooth and rather stealth.
--Even thought of getting a billet grille and painting it a black chrome or something rather than the gloss black......
All input is welcome and pls post some pics if you have any of some BLACKED OUT fronts
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks in advance
Silver like this below:
And yes this is mine
-
I think monochroming it (Everything one color) like the Charger would look better.
-
Nice looking truck
-
If you do the front black it may end up looking like there is a hole (missing grille, etc.). I personally like the a clean smooth monochrome look or a two tone, depends on the colors being used. Just my opinion
-
i think the color would be good on it. i want to paint mine flat black, silver, or colormatch it to my new truck. can't decide. what do think about painting it the color of my 08?
-
You mean "YOU" painting your c10 the color of your 08 pickup??? I like that color also & think it would look real sharp w/ the chrome accents that are on c10s.
Now Im almost certain Im going to color match it to my charger but Im still in the air on the grille options
So the future for my truck will be:
-
'06 Dodge Bright Silver paint w/ chrome strip and keeping all chrome accents
-Black interior consisting of leather and possible grey ostrich or alligator accents ( like suede but did that in my donk <75 caprice> and dont want to do that again)
-22 inch Dubs (revealing later on)
simple a/v system
....------->Thought of putting a single wide black stripe following str8 back over the hood & roof....whatcha think???
-
yeah i meant mine. just sharing thoughts. thought it was cool someone else was considering color matching their cars. keep us updated on the progress.
-
Came across a decent lil find this weekend at the local "Pik-a-Part"...... As you see I have a Scottsdale which means Im lacking a few interior pieces-------> But not anymore
I found all the interior panel pieces (also red though they will be changed) needed like the Silverado. Front & Rear metal headliner panels, front left & right A pillars, along with L & R rear B (sail) panels. Plus lucked out and found some chrome AutoVent visor shades (that only needed a lil cleaning up).
What could have cost me over $150 or so I paid.............$5.48 for everthing
Here are a few pics of my treasures.....no I didnt take the headliner (it was nasty).....All pieces will be cleaned up and color changed once I get my truck painted to go along with the interior color scheme
:D ;D :D ;D :D :) ;) :) ;) ;D :D ;D 8) ;D :o ;) 8) :) ;) ;D ;) :) 8) ;D 8) ;) 8)

Now here's my working tools of choice.....
And now here's the after....some elbow grease and time....

They will go on after the truck is all painted up
Stay tuned for more progress to come......

good score man. those visors came out great.
-
UPDATE...UPDATE....UPDATE....
Alright here it is..finally out of the paint shop (has to go back later to bring that shine out).
I finally decided on a color......And came up with color matching it w/ my charger (thought it would be a good look). All Im waiting on now is my interior to be finished & installed than I will put the wheels on
Fore warning: This is not going to be a show truck not in the slightest so be gentle. I just couldnt ride around in a red truck and I had to do a lil something to it just to make it my own
I just got it back today and decided to wash the dust off of it.......
Here goes--------->

As you can see '06 Dodge/Chrysler Bright Silver (a metallic not a candy so its not going to look all super wet but it will get a bit glassier a later) is the paint....shaved all molding & emblems except for the fender trim and the drip rails (need to put back on)
Stay tuned for future pics w/ the interior in (tried a lil something different color wise on it ) & wheels mounted up
-
So what are you doing? Did you not put any clear on it? ??? The color is nice
-
Looking good
-
looks good, nice color.
-
Big change looks real nice.
-
came out real nice, I would keep the rally wheels though if it were mine.
-
So what are you doing? Did you not put any clear on it? ??? The color is nice
Yes it was cleared....the painter said for me to bring it back so he can buff it out---- He promises that when he's done it will look as glassy as my charger
---------------------------------
Prec8 everyone on the compliments
stay tuned.........
-
looks great man! what color you going for with the interior? black?
-
looks great man! what color you going for with the interior? black?
Oh no...not black......Im taking a another approach, Gotta see how it turns out before I do any boasting about it, but you all will see
-
looks good!

Well just recently I posted pics of my truck and its new color......well its only right that the interior see some attention too. The seats, dash, and other pieces are at the interior shop as we speak. But if you remember I have a SCOTTSDALE, but got my hands on some of the interior components of a SILVERADO (@ a great deal if I may add).
With the above said I had to change the color of the pieces for them to match my new paint scheme. Rather than have them wrapped as this isnt going to be a show truck, I decided to try my hand at painting them myself using Dupli-Color Products
Below you will see my process of prep using Acetone, soapy water cleaning, & the multi light layer spraying of all pieces.....Thanks for the help Lil Duece with the cleaning...hahaha
-------Again-----A sneek-peek------ Of my color combo: Silver & Soft Peanut Butter.............Decided to go for the luxury car theme (saw this scheme on a silver convertable Benz coupe)
Well here goes......

***********************************************************
And now for the color combo........Yes they will tie in better once the rest of the interior is in place, but this is it for now

in ter esting... I kinda like it. Like to see it all together. Keep on truckin'
-
I think I can see where you are going with this....sweeeet. Go Lil Deuce... to cool
-
Thats going to look awsome cool color combo. And that lil helper you got seems to be quit the hands on keep those pics they are pricless moments to look back on when they grow up. Trust me it happens quicker than you realize.
-

-
wow man. you are movin right along. i seen your truck just posted on here when i posted mine. and they looked similar. but now you are leavin me in the dust. man. you really aren't afraid to just jump right in and get it done. i was wanting to see the wheels you got for it. but all i saw was the low pro tires.
-
I was going to post the wheels and all but not sure everyone on here will be too pleased w/ my choice, so Im just going to wait til its all done and just give you finished product
But yeah I had to go on and do it while I had the money before my other half (the wife) finds something else to do w/ it
But thanks to all for the comments...
-
Post 'em. If anyone has anything negative to say, I will edit it out.. :)
They should be doing that anyway...
-
Nah...you dont have to remove/edit anything.....Everyone is entitled to their own opinion so. As long as no one is being rude about it Im cool. Isnt that why we post sometimes....to get others views??

Nothing wrong with that can't wait to see them on besides if we all had the same taste it would be pretty boring and how would we get different ideas.
-
Nothin wrong with crack daddy wheels as we call em round here. ;D And I agree if everyone had the same wheels, schemes etc there'd be no flavors....and that's boring.
-
good stuff. hope you got a 411 or somthin to really make them biguns smoke
-

I really dont know why they would refer to chrome wheels as "Crack Daddy Wheels" but I can honestly say that I have nothing to do w/ crack wheels or crack anything else. And too not every guy who has plus size chrome wheels make their money to buy wheels by selling drugs. As my screen name states....Im a Soldier (for the US Army)
Im not offended by your comment, just want to clear up the misconception that rides customized/fixed up a certain way are perceived to be owned by drug dealers, thugs, and/or "ghetto" people
-----ON a different note, interior is complete and installed......Pics will be up later on
-
All Blingy wheels have been nicked crack daddy wheels since I can remember. It doesn't mean you do, sell, or smoke crack. I didn't invent the terminology nor did I incinuate that you are ghetto or a drug dealer. Just like wearing a "tank top" doesn't really mean you are a wife beater. Sorry if you took offense to my reply it was not an insult.

I agree 100%. Different strokes for different folks. I prefer old school and a set of 15's. But atleast you are rolling on rubber and not like roller skates. I have seen some plus size wheels and have like a 15 or 20 aspect ratio on the sidewall.
By the way, where are you stationed at yella?
-
Im stationed @ Ft Gordon, GA (Augusta)
UPDATE:
Alright here's a cam-phone pic of my interior @ the interior shop that I picked up this weekend. Did my install yesterday and this evening........Completed day time pics will be post tomorrow
Well here's a taste.......Light Peanutbutter & Silver (wrapped pieces include: Door panel armrest, Dash, Bench seat, visors, and the headliner....material is all VINYL)

Yes I painted them when I got them home....the pic above was still at the interior shop
-

Looks very cool! What do you have a sewing machine or something?
You should put some kick panel speakers in.
How do you like the Instinct? I have the glyde and am not digging it too much.
-
Looks real good. Nice contrasting colors without being obnoxious. Job well done. Now, lets se them wheels on it.
-
WOW! What a difference, looks good I like the way the dash was done you can't find anyone around here to even try that so I ended up buying a new dash pad but I do have another that needs done just curious as to what the $ was for just the dash. Again nice job an I agree put some kick panels in maybe the ones Chris has with the speaker pods.
-
Looking good! Now you just need to replace those gauges/lights with some Autometers!
-
looks good!
-
Thanks, Prec8 all the comments
-
wheels wheels wheels wheels wheels wheels wheels.........................where are they, in the garage still? C,mon, it's time to put them on now
-
Did you got o the pull a part in downtown Discusta? i scored some pieces there a month or so ago. I'm from Augusta my dad retired from Ft. Gordon last year.Sgt.J.C.Williams.
Edited non-SiteSupporter content.-Captkaos
-
that truck is looking great man! good choice on colors all the way around. put the wheels on!!
-
I want to see the wheels on there too!
-
All I can say is you have alot more self control than I do. Congradulations, it's not a bad thing. I'd been rolling them wheels beore the paint(probably not the best idea) but dont you thinkwe have suffered enough. C'mon, lets see those bad boys in action
