A friend told me to download Avast because it's a good program for antivirus and it's free. Has anybody tried it? I use Mozilla Firefox for my default browser and as I was registering for the download there were supposed to be some letters I needed to copy , but they didn't show up. So I wasn't able to continue with the download. I need to change my browser setting to show visuals, but I don't know how to do that. Can anybody lead me thru it? It's gotta be simple to do, but, well... :D

Try downloading it with Internet Explorer. If you have windows Vista I wouldn't bother with it but if you have XP or a bootleg copy go for it.

I use Avast, & Spybot. Both work very well for me.

I used them a while back (3yrs)... you really have to keep on top of things and download and install updates. At least that's how it was then. After a while, I got tired of all the work.

Man it seems like there's new updates every day.
I tried to download it with IE but still didn't get the letters. I know I'm doing something wrong.

I use Mozilla exclusively (I also run a IE tab in Mozilla just in case) and didn't have any problems with Avast. I have it on 2 or 3 machines...
