Hello all,
I'm new here and thought I would share some pics of my 1984 Silverado project. I've been a member of several boards for a while, but am glad to find a site devoted to just 73-87's...
If you are ever around southern Oklahoma, look me up...

I like it! Welcome.
-
welcome to the site! Sweet ride.
-
Beautiful!
-
Lookin' good! Being from Oklahoma, I'm sure a photo of the bottom side of that truck would make most of us very jealous. Lorne

Looks good, Welcome from West Texas
-
Thanks for the compliments... Underneath is pretty clean, no rust, but definately not show detailed. I have been driving this truck quite a bit lately and it has gotten pretty dusty underneath...
-
Nice truck bro. I don't recall ever seeing a truck that color. Is that the original color? Either way, it looks good.
-
looks nice! what r ur future plans for this truck?
-
Yes, that's the original color... Doeskin Tan.
I'm not sure what my plans are... The interior needs a few items to be a little cleaner and I'm thinking about painting it... A buddy of mine (professional painter) has offered to paint it if I will do the prep work. Now I'm trying to decide if it should stay tan or get a color change/two-tone... I really like orange and white two-tones...
I spent most of the last year building the drivetrain (383 with Corvette heads, TCI Manual-valvebody TH400, and 3.73 Richmonds with a Detroit Locker), so now it's off to more detail work and possibly a lower stance (already 2.5/5)... I've also been checking into 18/20" and 20/22" wheel combos...
-
Nice lookin ride. Doeskin tan, huh? I had a 1977 GMC C20 Sierra that was the same color, years ago.
-
Welcome from New Hampshaa!
-
Beautiful ride! Love that stance as is. Is that your Blazer in the background as well?
Welcome from Colorado!
-
IMO.
22" LOOK AWSOME.
20-22" COMBO LOOK NICE.
-
I wouldn't put any bigger wheels on it but if you do I want the cragers you got on it now. They'd go perfect on our 84 short bed.
-
Hello from another Oklahoma guy. Where you at in southern OK. Truck looks really clean as well!
-
Sorry, for the delay... I have been away from this site for a while...
I am located in Marietta, 15 miles north of the Texas border on I-35.
Most recently, I have been trying to get my interior in better shape. I bought a reproduction dash from Cheyenne Pickup, which had been molded incorrectly. After returning it, I purchased a OEM dash which was also damaged. Now I am waiting for another OEM piece. I will also replace some of the interior trim with billet, after I dye the new dash and trim.

Thanks for the compliments everyone... I haven't checked this topic in a while, but it's nice to see everyone appreciates my work. There are some very nice trucks on this site and I hope that one day some of mine will compare.
I recently started work on another 84 SWB and this one has been put on the back burner. The only updates are a set of 17" Torq Thrust II's and some more underhood detailing.
