I went with a friend of mine to pick up the 1993 C-10 that he bought for the engine and front clip. I am using the bed off of it for my 78.
The guy that sold us the truck also had a car that he asked me if I would be interested in hauling off for him. He has a 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. The car is an ex-drag car. He said that I could have it for free if I wanted it. He said that the body is solid and very straight. It had a 383 stroker and unknown tranmission in it. Tha car has no title, but I have all of the forms and details on how to get one.
My questions:
What would have to be changed to istall a 305 or 327 in the car?
What transmission should I use? I have access to a th350C.
Will Camaro parts from the same year range fit?

Throw another 383 stroker in it. They are awesome.
A small block chevy is a small block chevy. Use a th350 if you wish. The 327 and 305 will fit. A 383 is a 350 block w/ a 400 crank/balancer/flexplate. They all should just bolt in. The 327 is a little older...make sure you have the correct accessory bracket bolt holes on the heads for the alt. and power steering pump, etc...

Even if you don't fix it you could always sell it or part it our. I would drop a Poncho motor back in it.

Got access to a rebult 455 and tranny for $800.

Hey, I just bought a 78 stepside K10 and it doesn't have a title, so i was wondering if you could tell me how to get one?
-
You need to check with you local DMV on titles. Every state is different.
